It doesn't matter what you "just happen to think" though does it?
The simple fact is a contract is not being honoured as paid for in good faith. Your opinion is irrelevant.
The OP wasn't asking for legal advice, was just venting, and people are entitled to say what they 'just happen to think', this is what this part of the forum is about .0 -

Yes, but if someone is venting because a contract they have entered into has not been fulfilled then the fact that some random poster (e.g. me) doesn't necessarily see the point of the contract in the first place is pretty much irrelevant.
Neither I nor anyone else should be telling them they shouldn't be annoyed or that the need a 'reality check'.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Anyone who cares to read my previous posts on threads relating to relays and order gatherers will know that i am not a fan of them in any way shape or form, however, they have offered to refund if thats preferred and to send double the amount the next day is losing them money and is surely a better offer than just a straight refund to many? I know the cost of red roses wholesale at this time of year and it is not the most profitable day, it is a high order volume day. The rose prices go through the roof and as the public are always under the impression that they are being ripped off there is only so much mark up to be made. Some of the roses this year are over three pounds each with the VAT, others are around the two pound mark. then you have the wrapping, the time, the delivery and any extra flowers in a bouquet so I would be happy with the offer made, in fact this post has actually put this company in a slightly better light in my eyes.0

Well, let's see.
The company have offered to not only send out DOUBLE the quantity of roses tomorrow, but are offering a refund in addition to this. IMO, and I'm sure most would agree, this is going above and beyond what they would need to do to rectify their breach of contract.
My opinion, however, is as relevant as anyone else's. this is the Praise, Vent & Warnings board, not the Consumer Rights board. Expect opinions here.0 -
Dear Money Saving Expert Customer,
You ordered flowers through the Money Saving Expert offer, which gave you a great deal on a dozen red roses for delivery today. We were unfortunately unable to process your order in time due to issues with our flower supply chain.
We will deliver your order on Friday instead and you will receive 24 red roses rather than a dozen. I am truly sorry and realise that this is a great disappointment on this special day of the year. If you are not satisfied with this and would like to cancel your order, we totally understand and if you reply to this email with cancel in the subject line, we will issue a full refund.
At Arena Flowers we pride ourselves on delivering the best fresh flowers on time every time and I am sincerely sorry that we have not been able to do so on this occasion.
Yours sincerely,
Will Wynne, Co-Founder Arena Flowers
So basically you only ordered them on Wednesday via an email that goes to millions of people? Those offers are never guaranteed, you have been offered either a full refund or an alternative including a generous 'bonus'. Flowers are a fresh product, it's not like a piece of furniture where a company should only sell what they have in stock. You'd be even more narked if they sent out half dead roses that they'd ordered too far in advance in order to fulfil every order.
Next time plan ahead, you've known about Valentine's day for weeks, it's on the same day every year. Personally I find red roses, chocolates and a card on the 14th February cliched, lazy, generic and unimaginative not at all romantic or thoughtful. The best gifts are deeply personal, may even have cost more time than money. I can't understand why any girl would be touched to receive the EXACT same gift sent to thousands of other wives and girlfriends on the same day - conveyor belt 'romance'.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Couldn't agree with you more. My favourite Valentines present ever was a frying pan. I was pregnant and craving pancakes but I had a frying pan that was impossible to make decent pancakes with.
My hubby came home with all the ingredients for pancakes, and a fab Tefal pan. Was well chuffed, kept me flipping pancakes for my whole pregnancy, and I still regularly use it for pancakes0 -

Yes - but OP clearly wants lots of opinions - hence three threads.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Well in my opinion if they are that upset they should have simply taken the refund and gone to the nearest petrol station and bought a bunch of cheap and nasties, just so long as they gave them to their loved one today.0

Its pretty clear you haven't actually read the original email that was sent out, and yet you still feel qualified to comment on it.
The MSE email went out last Friday, and there was a limit of 500 orders. Which renders pretty much everything you've said as irrelevant.Couldn't agree with you more
Then you're equally wrong.0 -
I did not see the email myself.
Did it state that orders could not guaranteed to be delivered on the day anywhere?0
