Where all the original flights emirates and booked as one ticket?
If so you are probably due compensation.
But Emirates have sucessfully and unsucessfully in court that it it two seperate journets.
EU have clarified recently that it isn't.
Airline will not cover consequential losses as they are only respnsible for your A to B airport travel. If you have good insurance you should also be able to recoup some of these costs.
What date did you travel? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Ill have to check insurance details for the hotel costs0 -
Hi,
Having a frustrating time with Etihad which has been ongoing since May 2016. After finally agreeing they will pay up they have now sent the following message... Which to me sounds like an example of delaying tactics...
Has anyone received compensation from Etihad? If so, how long did it take? Any ideas on how I should know respond to below would be much appreciated.
Dear ..
Thank you for your bank details.
Due to our finance system upgrade however the re will be further delay in payment which might take 1-2months.
For the meantime this one is pending and we will however write back to you soon once this payment is processed.
Yours sincerely,

What an unusual reply, an extra week or two is one thing but two months is pushing it.
If you haven't already, I would read Vaubans guide and issue them with a LBA.
It might speed them up by showing that you are serious and will not be messed about. If that does not work you will be on track to force a resolution yourself via MCOL.
The only other option, imo, is to wait.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
I want to make a claim for compensation against Qatar airways. My flight was from Doha to Manchester UK. It seems its easy to make a claim with EU... but does the same apply when flying from Qatar. ????? Can someone advise .......0
-
You cannot claim against Qatar as they are not covered by EU legislation when flying from outside the EU into a EU airport. The other way around Manchester to Doha you would have had a claim0

Thank you Tyzap!
Etihad has now replied that payment is being processed and to re-
contact them if not received within 40 days!
Fingers crossed they will pay up (but won't believe it until I see it in my bank account!)0 -
After 6 months of chasing Etihad they have paid up! They originally said there was no claim, then as flight was booked via STA there was no claim, then said finance systems upgrade would mean 1-2 month delay, then told a further delay of payment of 40 days? Did not take no for an answer and kept everything factual and polite. Used Resolver and all the great help and support on MSE (particularly Vauban and Tyzap). Thank you!
Phew... Morale of this is DON'T GIVE UP!0 -
Hi all, advice needed if possible please.
I was flying with Air Caraibes from Dominican Republic to Paris (and was then due to fly from Paris to London separately). We took off from Dominican about an hour late, flew for around 90 mins, before they then announced we had to turn back due to technical issues with the plane. Something to do with cabin pressure apparently.
The customer service was awful... unbelievably bad... but I'm not sure that's really relevant in these cases. Basically the flight wasn't re-arranged for us until 26 hours later. I had then missed my Paris to London flight, but again, probably not that relevant.
I have looked on the Resolver tool to make a complaint, but there is no record of Air Caraibes. They are a French-owned airline, and we were flying to France, so the claim should be valid under EU regulations, right?0 -
Put your flight details into a flight checker like bottonline or EuClaim and see what they say.0
