The connecting time was 45 mins, and before booking I researched that it was possible. Yes it was a I min delay on landing. There were a few people in the same situation. But talking to others later, they usually hold the connecting plane when this happens.

Hi, we were delayed over 8 hours on 22/2/25 with our Pegasus PC569 flight from Sharm el Sheikh (SSH) to Istanbul SAW airport due to snow at SAW. When we arrived at SAW it was complete pandemonium and we missed our PC1183 connection from SAW to BHX. The airline put us up in a hotel until yesterday (25/2/25) and we were able to fly home on the PC1183 flight.

My main question is this: can I claim flight delay compensation due to the snow which affected the flight out to SSH which made our flight delayed? I ask this as there was an A Jet flight operating the same route (SAW -SSH and SSH - SAW) at THE SAME TIME and the A Jet flight departed SSH on time.

In addition, the airline did not provide us with transport to the hotel in Istanbul - as when I had collected our luggage (which took over 4 hours to be sent up) I was told the shuttle bus to the hotel had left so I was liable to get a taxi.
The airline also stated in their ticket what they would be sending a shuttle bus at 06:00 to the hotel to take us to the airport. This didn't arrive by 06:45 so the hotel receptionist told us to get a taxi and claim the cost back from the airline.
I also have 22/2/25-25/2/25 airport car park excess charges to cover.
Can I claim for these additional costs from Pegasus?

any claim would be under Shy Regulations - info here https://www.ana.co.jp/www2/plan-book/announcements-turkish-route-right/shy-passenger.pdf
I would guess compensation not due if weather was issue (there were many cancellations), taxis to from hotel probably due to be reimbursed, additional car parking is one for your travel insurance.

This isn't the smoking gun that many perceive it to be, i.e. the fact that one flight operates doesn't in itself signify that a delay to another must trigger compensation rights!  The delay could still have been caused by any of a range of factors outside the airline's control, such as air traffic control restrictions (common in poor weather), delays caused by airport services rather than those of the airline, or constraints of a particular aircraft type.
