  • £365 a year family membership (Introductory offer to newly opened leisure centre). Use of gym, pool, health suite and classes.

Some restrictions on pool time due to school lessons and swim club.

2 adults and 2 kids so excellent value.
  • I love bodyweight exercises, but when I can do >50 bodyweight squats I like adding a few kgs ;)

  • I train at a real spit and sawdust bodybuilding gym. I <3 it! I train with my boyfriend and we pay £45 for both of us, no contract.
  • £37 with outsourced, brand new leisure centre. Covers me for two large refurbished in the last year centres as well, one old and tired, one sports centre not worth a second glance and one manky hellhole at the top end of a nasty estate, so cold it has been known to partially ice up in winter, three broken stationary bikes and a treadmill, along with water that is approaching the same pH as the human body in the week following half term.

I'll be sticking to the top three centres :)

Virgin wanted £98 in the first month, £68 for the rest. Yeah. Right. Like I have money to burn.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

£45 for the local council gym. It includes use of the gym, all classes, pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and access to other gyms in the borough.

    No contract.

It's actually the cheapest in my area. The other gyms local to me - Virgin active classic, LA Fitness and Nuffield are more expensive and tie you into a long contract.

We have joint membership at the council gym, no contract for £70 (would be £65 with a contract). They have four centres - two really good, one OK and one - well you don't want to go there - literally:D
We have full unlimited, anytime use of the gyms, steam/sauna, swimming pools, squash and badminton courts (seem to be easy to book as well and not very popular;)), and all the classes including spin.

Just paid $52 for 3 months mebership, including gym, classes and swimming but that was through the GP referall scheme.

After that i think its about $33 per month, not sure if i will sign up yet.

Come on now xXMessedUpXx, 3 months isn't long enough.

Why not try here for £13.99 a month, no excuses.

    £15.95 pm but no pool
  • It's awesome! Best gym I ever trained at. No frills, no luxury, no heating or air conditioning, just a huge gym with several squat racks, barbells and a crazy amount of plates. Though I'm the only girl that trains there, I'm always made feel really welcome, probably because I train harder than half the dudes there :D
