Hi
I received a penalty ticket from Smart Parking LTD for parking at the disabled bay.
The legislation regarding this does not mention private companies issuing those tickets therefore I would like some help and advice of whether I have to pay it or ignore it and could this affect my credit rating if I just ignore it?
Thanks in advance for the replies.0 -
BB doesnt apply on private land , but the EA 2010 does

Hi I'm new to Forums and feel stupid that I can't even work out how to create a thread. I would appreciate some advice. Yesterday I parked in a multi storey car park in Perth, Scotland. When I returned I found a smart parking charge notice on the windscreen - my contravention - no valid ticket. I have not been to Perth for years and when I entered the car park there were no signs stating Pay and Display. I even took a look at the fee board when I parked to see how expensive it would be. All multi storey car parks I use - you pay on exit so it didn't even cross my mind to pay once I'd parked. The ticket says £90 charge or £45 if pay in 14 days. As I am in Scotland should I ignore as other posts seem to suggest? Or should I draft an appeal in writing as the ticket describes? If so do you have draft wording I could use? I couldn't see any references to multi storey car parks in other posts.0

go to the main parking tickets forum and find the blue oval on the left (top or bottom) with the words NEW THREAD in white inside it, then click it and start your own thread (topic)0

Thanks but I can't see an oval button with new tread anywhere - I looked before I posted here and again just now having gone into parking tickets. It just lists the various treads etc in a table. Sorry I must be being thick! What do you suggest? Can you help?
Thanks0 -
just do as I said in the previous post, it really is that simple
ps:- just above the green banners0 -
Thanks, finally think I've found it - not on right page. Only simple when you know how!!0
