Thanks for the moral support to stay strong!!! I bought one pair of shorts (I have 2 old maternity pairs which fall down now, and one with a broken zip - hence the 'need'...) - which was on sale for £7. And a pair of startrite trainers for DD1 for £12, reduced down from £37, which she does actually 'need' for school apparently. So not too terrible i thought...
had a fab weekend in this amazing weather!! and bought a tomato plant for £1 which i am hoping will bear some fruit. It's my first "vegetable" type plant :)

They are very nice trainers Brizzle. Wouldn't mind a pair myself!! The tomato plant is not looking very good - I am not sure if I have overwatered it, or it is in 'shock' from being replanted and all of the heat.
Well, enforced 'saving' due to tenant being late with rent payment, so will need to cover the mortgage myself. Sigh. I just hope he gets it together asap!!
Have decided to try and lose a bit of weight as i have nice linen trousers and a linen skirt that i can't fit into from pre-pregnancy days. Only need to go down a dress size. So as of today am going to give it a go.

How about stocking up the fridge with yummy soft fruit? If I have strawberries etc in the fridge I will snack on those...keeps me away from the cake and biscuits anyway...

Not always cheapest unless you go to the greengrocers..my local had trays of fab tomatoes for £2 on Saturday..unfortunately I was on my way somewhere otherwise I would have snaffled at least 4! Often the same for other stuff like grapes if you saunter past at the right time!

Not long to go and then the holidays!

Hi BH, just checking in to see how you, the diet and the tomato plant are doing :)

Hellooo! I am so tired so sitting down to surf the net a little before getting up to do chores. The diet is going so so - went out to dinner last night at the fanciest restaurant around here and abandoned diet. It was wonderful!! :) Apart from that, I am persevering but suspect all will go out of the window as going on holiday on Thursday. So lots to do in preparation, just wish I had a bit more energy. Can't wait as I need the break soooo badly.
The tomato plant seems to be ok - needs a bit of water now, but looking good otherwise. Seems a few flowers are appearing so not long to tomatoes I guess. :)
Have been saved from any sort of spending as rent has only just been paid. A relief really but am going to try and make the most of the low spending and see if I can knock a bit more off CC debt.
Hope all are well and enjoying the weather. I've been bathing the DD's in the paddling pool - they think it's the best thing ever. Long may it last.
