Combined Postage not offered?

Soolin and techspec, you two always crack me up!
Well package or packages are due today so we will see how many there are although admittedly I couldn't bring myself to ask for all items seperately! But I will certainly post how much it cost to send - that is if there is a price on the label! Postie is due in just over an hour

Use "FREE" post and packing.
I am amazed that people are still sticking to this troublesome area of "Additional Postage Costs" when the FREE post option has so many advantages.
This is a fabby way to profit from customers who buy multiple items because:-- You have already factored in the P&P for each item so make more profit with multipurchase.
- The buyer thinks that they are getting a bargain with FREE post.
- UK buyers have to leave 5* for P&P
- Overseas buyers are gouged twice as they then have to pay full whack for postage and do not see the reduction for amendment to overseas post.
This is, of course, meant to be a humerous comment, I would never stoop to these depths to make a few spondulicks...I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
20p says they all arrive in one package, and the postage cost less than £3!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
My bets they all turn up as separate LL .
If they were sent the LL way, lets hope the items didn't 'move' in transit and have now become packets! :rotfl:
If they are sent together, what a stupid seller.:DLose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -
I bet they come together and cost £2.70 and i would hammer their stars. Makes no difference if some charge this and some charge that-it's the buyer that marks that sellers stars so thats all that matters. The buyers opinion.
I use a mix of free post and just over stamp price which helps to even things out.
?It also matters what you send items in, i would be even less impressed if they turn up in a carrier bag for the cost of £8!0 -
There are some areas like Soo has that its not worth it to offer combined p&p. A DVD can go as a large letter but two automatically have to go as a parcel (£2.20 ish).
And I think it'll be 2 parcels of 2....[STRIKE]£2200[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£1950[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1850[/STRIKE] £1600 on my credit card
£1200 of £6000 Savings0 -
No show today so I expect they will turn up 2nd class tomorrow, the listing did say economy delivery, perhaps a pigeon?0

But you do not explain it as thus.
You make out it is almost 'illegal' to add your costs to p&p.
As a business a cost is a cost is a cost is a cost. You might sneer at a business actually putting the cost in the P&P bracket but openly admit that you put the cost somewhere else.
What is the bl00dy difference?
I'm sorry you do not understand how accounts work and how a buyer perceives costs . All my expenses are accounted for when I submit my accounts to HMRC, that has absolutely nothing to do with what I change for p and p.
Each to their own though, if you have a different business model that works for you then I am very pleased. I think it's the shoe leather and latte comments that irk some sellers. As if it's laughable to charge for business expenses. Everybody accounts for it somewhere. It's just a matter of opinion where.
I worked for Leonard Steinberg in the eighties (Stanley Racing and Casinos). He always wore a scruffy coat and drove an old banger to scout out new premises. His perception was that he gave the impression of not being made of money and so struck a better deal. Complete rubbish, but it kept him happy.
The facts are the punter pays in the end. If you believe they are thick enough not to realise that - you may be right.0
