Combined Postage not offered?

I would be very annoyed about the vests, because you've saved them a fair amount of time and money on packaging and shipping and they're not even willing to make a gesture to share some of that savings with you. Even offering you to ship all the vests for £6 instead of £8 would still leave them in profit on the postage alone. If I were you I'd ask for another explanation, ask for everything to be packaged and shipped separately, and also I doubt I'd give them perfect stars.0

You don't know if they are going to save money yet. And time has nothing to do with it, as nobody charges for that.
It's possible these are already packed and could ship as large letters. Whereas four together would not. Why not wait and see how thewy arrive and what the costs are?0 -
Paying for each item seperately would mean the seller has to pay more in paypal fees. Even if the item is packaged they could all be put together and taped (I have received items before taped together) I don't understand why sellers won't combine postage or if it does cost them more they just could not have said that in their email. I always combine postage even if the buyer has not asked as I just think this is easier.0

Macfly has a point, best to wait and see.
I have a line on my business account each single purchase can go as a 69p large letter, but two or more have to go as a packet at £2.20. So as it is a BIN I have offered a goodwill combined discount of a few pence just to say thank you for buying more thna one. However I also tell them when they pay that each item has to go seperately, and I apologise that I cannot combine further for sales within the UK.
Once anyone buys 4 or more (and that is unlikely) then I do save a lot and can then give a refund of the overcharged amount.
However, this does not seem to be the case here, if they are over 100g then sending 2 2nd class seperately as large letters would cost £1.10 but 2 as a packet would be the same at £2.20 with the remaining 2 not adding anything further to the cost as they would be likely to remain under 750g.
However, I can't see a seller charging £2 per item if 2nd class large letter is being used.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If sellers dont combine postage, I also insist on paying for each item individually so if they send me a combined invoice but no discount.....I opt whenever possible to pay one item at a time!

If they wont pass on any saving to me the buyer - I dont see why they should save on paypal charges.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

I think they meant that when it comes to feedback to mention the postage issue, not, as I think you thought, to threaten the seller with bad feedback if they don't combine postage.0 -
Thanks, that's exactly what I meant.melliott1963 wrote: »I think they meant that when it comes to feedback to mention the postage issue, not, as I think you thought, to threaten the seller with bad feedback if they don't combine postage. If you change nothing, nothing will change!!0 -
