Combined Postage not offered?

Which is of course fair enough as it didn't state that seller offered combined postage. I bought 4 items, all size 8 vests, postage is £2 each. I messaged seller to ask if they would do postage discount. I don't think it will cost anywhere near £8 to send them, they said no and were polite enough and I will pay it because I want the tops so I'm not grumbling, just want to know what other peoples stances are on postage.

I'm not a business seller, sometimes I have a clear out of my old games though and when people buy more then one I just add a discount - is this silly?

I would pay it and then comment on feedback and give low stars for p&p.

Lovely vests. Shame seller refused combined postage for 4 vests.

Ok, thanks for that. Just seems really silly for a seller to do this and risk a star bashing
  • Personally I would have combined as a seller.

As a buyer I would now reply to the seller and say thats fine but I expect each vest package individually as thats what i've paid for!!

if they came in one package i'd be pretty harsh on feedback and stars (but dont mention that in your comms)
if i had known then what i know now

looks a good reply to me.

  • I've had that said to me before when refusing to combine (as I was making a loss) and then had to send individually at a bigger loss. Are the vests heavy? I.e covered in sparkles or something? That might make them heavier than you'd expect.

then the seller should either have put that into the original postage cost or a higher starting price.

if the vests had sold to 4 different buyers they would have to post them individually.

No, they are very plain, a littl bow on the front of three of them and two buttons on the front of the other and all have spaghetti straps.
  • I've just purchased a book from a business seller and they state in their listings they do not combine postage. Which is a shame coz if they did I would quite happily buy more items from them, but not when I'd be paying £2+ per item (and I'm talking about kids thin picture books so not very heavy or thick).
