    Evening all

Just back from Safeguarding training again, box ticked, learnt nothing but never mind OFSTED that box is ticked.

I'll do the list next and then sit down with DH for our weekly battle of UC.

    Evening all :D

I think someone has replaced DD  Her bedroom is "nicki-tidy" and when I went up this morning after she'd left for school her room was spotless & her bed was made  However tonight yet again she managed to get her tea down her and all over the sofa  I guess its a case of you win some you loose some :rotfl:

Not got much in the way of physical work but plenty of mental work done. A case of "X needs to be done, but before X can be done W needs to be done, and V needs to be done otherwise its pointless doing W" It seems that everything in my house requires another job being done first and I can't decide where to start first :o I think I need a roll of paper and to make a flowchart style to-do list to try and make sense of it all :rotfl: My brain is mush again :o

This evening I've tackled the frog in the kitchen while listening to the football on the radio. The ceiling definitely needs painting, and I have a horrible feeling its going to take 2 coats of paint due to the stains :( It also needs cracks filling, flaking paint removed and the whole lot sanding down. :(

Are you giving up something for lent or better still take something up-
Going to give up buying groceries except for fresh produce and no take-aways. End of lent DD is going away on holiday with Ex & his family, its also her birthday and then another 2 birthdays in April so if I can save some extra pennies up that'll be fab :D

Well the match is over, just going to wait for TD to finish then I'll go make my bed and try to get an early night. After two fantastic nights sleep last week I'm now struggling to sleep before 3am :(

    Evening all!

Didn't quite get as much done as planned as am feeling very poorly, however before work I put the washing/powder/conditioner in the machine ready to put on as soon as I got home from work.

Did my weekly shop at Aldi, put 3 loads of washing on, general tidy up. Put away a bed sheet which has been on the floor for about 3 days.
  • Hi folks

Busy, busy day here - lots achieved "outside" but "inside" not so much! Me and OH emptied a bit more of the barn and took his van and my car to the tip with loads of breeze blocks, bricks and gibble - how the axles didn't snap I'll never know!!!

Happy Birthday Natty - hope you've had a great day.

LameWolf - you are indeed an angel - the things you do for all the animals you care for is remarkable. :A

re Silicone - thanks for all your replies everyone - I did try to multiquote but there were too many of you!!!! I bought a 12 hole muffin one today and I will stick a baking sheet under it when it goes on its maiden voyage. Another question, if I may? If making muffins, do I still use paper cases? Can I use it for yorkshire puddings? and do I heat the fat beforehand as usual? My word, you wouldn't think I'm a Caterer would you? It's just that I'm used to non-stick metal stuff so this is a whole new area for me.

Upstairs all tidied earlier today and rather than flying in the house, I cleaned the car out after the tip run and gave it a treat as I had offered to drive a friend to see Les Mis!rables tonight (wow, have you seen it? Two and a half hours of Hugh Jackman - will have some lovely dreams tonight!!!)

Right, I'll hijack the thread no more (slinks away shamefully)......

After the paid stuff tomorrow, I'll get back on track with indoors flying

    Laters everyone

Wipe the work surfaces .. May well delegate to DD2.. she can earn her keep.

Shrove (really!?) Tuesday - Bathroom and study ~ DONE over the last few days.. and pancakes are the food of Satan.. I'll keep my lemons for drizzle cake thank you, it is at least edible without making anyone sick.

Would anyone else be suspicious of this conversation?

DD.. can I stay at C's house tonight? (C being a friend from school I have met)
Me.. If I have her mums phone number (mum is foster carer)
DD.. no you can't have the number because it is a SS number and C can't give it out.
Me.. Well, give her mum my number and ask her to ring me then otherwise the answer is no
DD.. C is being strange so i told her you said no and I'm coming home.

ER... I think I just caught you out trying to stay 'elsewhere' oh Daughter of mine who thinks I am as daft as I look! Am I excessively suspicious or does anyone else think the same?

I also contacted someone about a fence in the garden so the littlies can play out but not get on the mud while it is all squelchy and covered in cat poop. :D OH can pay and I'll give him it back when I get it.

My list so far. Was working yesterday and working today after I've been to a funeral. I'm wide awake after having to get up and let the cat out.

    Belated birthday greetings to Natty.

Hugs spoons and sticks where needed.
