DH is onboard with setting up his AVCs and re-starting mine on Friday. This means that in a small way we will be tackling Dave Ramsey's baby steps 4, 5 and 6 which will make me happy.
Which book is it Alchemilla? Will be a library order for me I think.

Spent a happy hour this morning with Baby and a screwdriver each putting batteries in all the conked out toys. Diplomatic skills had to be highly advanced.
"Can I have that please?" didn't work but "Can I have the small Phillips?" worked a treat.
This afternoon we all went out with the disposable camera won in the raffle at the Church fete worse than death and took photos of snowdrops, primroses and a lorry.
NSD and did the budget. Overspend is gone once Monday comes, Yay!
5 things I'm grateful for today
* DD2's tantrum that began at 5.15 finally ended about five minutes ago.
* We are all off work tomorrow.
* Hope
* Paul Darrow Esquire
* I passed the test on Farrier's tool recognition the Baby gave me 17 times today (using DD's horse textbook).

Best laid plans and all that...
Had planned to go en famille for a dog walk in the woods but it is so cold that the two youngest would not have coped. So asked them what they wanted and it was to go to the sweet shop...a rare event. Duly loaded them in the car and the battery was flat.A chance to road test auto recovery-cheap breakdown service and £108 for a new battery.
So today i am grateful for
* breakdown services
* that it hapened at home and not on a workday
* that the garage had the right battery
* for the crayyyzeeee shop that sells nice photo frames for 1.29 (i know made in china not cool)
* for charity shops that still accept vinyl

Bought a beautiful cast-iron fireplace for our bedroom today. We aren't decorating and the fireplace is boarded up, but it was a bargain.
Today I'm grateful for
* family
* marriage
* a log fire
* that you can make ok pizza dough with plain flour when you run out of bread flour and you've promised the children decorate-you-own pizzas
* For Lois reading! x

Hello Radish *waves*.
I've got end of holiday glums.
Had a good day though, lunch with parents and took DD1 riding. Pony shied and she fell off. Bless her she leapt up and went to catch it.
£24 on riding lesson. A neighbour came running out as we walked past with a new pony t-shirt for DD1 that someone had given her daughter who doesn't like ponies, which was kind.
Soooo much work to do.
Today I am grateful for
* DD1 not getting hurt
* a lovely lunch I didn't cook
* Random kindness from people
* Dishwashers
* My gigantic thick jumper
Now can anyone tell me where the school lunches menu is...
