5 things I am grateful for
* Don't have to see ex for another month
* Could ring my Mum and ask her to explain yet again how to make meringues without her getting cross
* DH sat with me while I bathed baby since there was a horrendous wolf spider in there
* Friend coming for lunch tomorrow
* Children played fabulously today, all together aged 23 months to 10..
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi Alechemilla,
Good luck with the pony hunt. Will be following your diary and MF journey.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hello Cath. Thanks. Latest pony refuses to go in a stable.d'oh.
Progress today has been limited. Lunch with a friend, added to my rogues gallery on the landing and took puppy love to the vet. She has an eczema type thing on her paws. Boom! £61
Anyway she has petplan. She is somewhat surprised since she got her anal glands emptied.
Today I am thankful for...
* interesting and intelligent friends-present company NOT excepted
* a peerless day the like hasnt been seen here for months
* 9 hours sleep last night
* a kind friend sent me pjs for baby
* the meringues worked!

Hello,
I thought you were being sarcastic when you replied to my last post but now I understand..... Hello again!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
I try not to be sarcastic but sometimes my natural tendency breaks out.
Sorry if I offended you? X0 -
No worries I was just being thick and not picking up your hints!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!

Evening all. Today has been lovely, parents came for coffee then I took the three musketeers walkies with the dog under another peerless blue sky. (If it is peerless then how can there be another??).
Put an hour or so in fruitlessly ponyhunting. Got paid £3 for the survey. Think this will go towards new coat for DD1 or actually ballet tights for DD2.
Does anyone know about teachers' AVCs? Pavlov's? Lois? Michelle? Specifically what is the minimum monthly amount they will take and are we stuck with the Pru?
5 things I'm grateful for today
* glorious weather
* Puppy Love's skin is getting better and she is so dim she can't tell antibiotic from dog treat
* My parents
* DH made £1070 marking, yay!
* Nothing on telly to distract me from marking.
ETA the minimum for an AVC monthly is no minimum. Who knew?
A job for Friday then.

Um, sorry, haven't made any AVCs and don't know any details about them.
Your lists of things to be grateful for are ace. You're making me think I ought to to that on my thread. Will give it some thought.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Thanks Lois x.
Just had a look at the 2.75% five year fix. Is it bad that I don't know my exit fee?
DH is onboard with setting up his AVCs and re-starting mine on Friday. This means that in a small way we will be tackling Dave Ramsey's baby steps 4, 5 and 6 which will make me happy.
Took the troops to the playing field today. It was bally cold. My brother who was cycling past saw us and did some swing pushing. Baby fell asleep in his soup afterwards.
This afternoon DD2 who is 5, planned a recipe with me that was a variation on I can cook's spicy tortilla nests, but we put pureed banana, orange and honey in them and baked them for 10 min. Delicious.
Nothing doing on the pony front. Unless you want to buy a baby that has been ruined by someone clueless. I must say "pony pony pony".
So today I am grateful for
* my brother
* the playing field with the best view in the world
* radio 4
* Blakes 7 (its a long story)
* tomorrow is Friday (DH has Friday off and so do we all).
