Well I moderated 17 items last night. Only 24 to do, and the reports and the paperwork.

Outstanding!
Must confess I have just finished my last dreg of paperwork and only need to get proof of posting and I'm all done. Phew! Only took from 1st May until 6th June...

I hope the moderation is all done now and you are having a rest. I think your goals are perfectly achievable. I have always been of the slow and steady persuasion for changes, but as I get older I am embracing the mmm emergency approach instead and it is working so far. But you have so much on at the moment so maybe you could do some planning and then just hit the ground running with the big changes at the start of the school holidays?Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

It would maybe cheaper to get a red sports car and have an affair with my PA.
This has really resonated with me, Al. I've spent every summmer term for the past five years repeating the mantra that 'something needs to change' next year, only to reach the following summer feeling like I'd taken further steps back rather than forward. This, coupled with an innordinate number of colleagues currently reassessing life and their priorities, has sparked a lot of introspection and thought.
SSS is quite right that a plan followed by action is what is required. The long and short of it is that my life drastically lacks balance, and I've carried on the pretence of happiness/coping for too long (teachers in the room, can I hear an 'amen, sister')?! I can moan about it, or I can implement change.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Amen! Sister.
I am going to have a think about this.
Your posts require a thoughtful response.
Moderation was interrupted to take DD2 to ballet, water the pony, and follow DH to his next county place of work to drop it (his car) in for mending.(long story).
Lunch now then the Plops and then more moderation...0 -
If you want to make changes, just change something, doesn't really matter what. Getting started is half the battle, it can be a little thing0

See the thing I am really good at is whingeing about needing to change...0
