See the thing I am really good at is whingeing about needing to change...

I felt like that for so long. Still love a whinge, but actively changing things. Used to be one of those people who read ERE/MMM etc. and said 'that's ok for *them*, but wouldn't work for me because (insert lazy excuse a)'.

Only 19 days so far. My theory on doing a month off was that I was just beginning to feel better when I dismounted the waggon.

Are you doing a sticker chart for yourself?

I started doing a £1 into a pot for every time I achieved: 10k steps; a workout; a NSD; 10 veggies; no sugar... (hope I have used the semicolon correctly...!) Great potential for 'free' earned money to treat yourself. Think I got myself a pull-up bar the first month! Hmmm, am I sad or what?!

  • Amen to the teacher thing too.
Absolutely agree with Ed. nobody else will care enough to change things for you, they all have their own issues, sadly.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

I think I need to go alcohol free Al, wondering if it's making me feel tired and a bit low. Sounds like you are already making some positive steps.
