  • Spendy day. It can't be avoided if you want the children to learn good things though. I used to spend loads on my boys' activities and it was all worth it except for the baby swimming lessons which could easily have waited. They have said that they really enjoyed it all, especially as we didn't have TV when they were young so there wasn't the option of sofa surfing.
    Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
    Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

    No telly is a good plan but there is such great stuff on cbbc that is so educational and thoughtful...
    Another £15 on getting a sofa removed.

    Stupid person on faceache would not answer the door to me when I went to drop something off.
