Talking of very wrong, why does the phrase "a very naughty Monkey Balls" remind me of a personal ad in the LRB :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi All - first DMP payment reached the creditors on the 25th woohoo!!!! Checked up and HSBC have accepted the payment so even though they reckoned they wouldn't accept the DMP theyve still got the money - this has to be good news!! Re a previous post about HSBC sending me a default letter, think it is a notice of default as it says I have till 7th March to pay up. So I will ignore it as this is what Stepchange said to expect. All a bit confusing as when I checked my account online it stated no interest added for Feb statement and non listed for next months either - so I don't know what on earth they are doing really!!!!!! Think I will just hang tight and see how it all develops over the next few months. Hoping that all the others - MBNA, Halifax and Bcard plus HSBC OD have got their heads round it all - MBNA are the only ones I have actually heard from regarding the DMP! Onwards and upwards (or downwards of balance!). Love to all fellow DMPers xxLBM october 2013

Ooh well I don't know - what have you been reading TTFTM? I'm having flashbacks to 50 shades of grey, which by the way I still haven't read:pDMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Well done schmalf! MBNA stopped all interest on our CC. They haven't bothered us at all, which is a bonus considering how much of a pain some of them have been, naming no names Halifax.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Don't get HH started on that again :rotfl:
I was referring to the personal column in the London Review of Books (LRB). It's renowned for funny, odd and often totally bizarre personal column. My DMP is set up and ready to go, my first payment is 10th March, I find it really encouraging reading how well everyone else is doing!
It's payday tomorrow and I'm a nervous wreck about payday loans taking all my wage as some haven't responded to my continuous payment authority cancellations, I've cancelled them all in writing and cancelled them all with the bank, aswell as writing to them with regards the DMP, think I'm going to be up all night checking the bank, hoping to transfer it to the (empty) savings account before anyone else has chance to get to it 😁
Well done everyone, have a feeling I may find this forum useful 😊

Congratulations! I've been watching 50ps on eBay and the kew gardens were going for £8.00 a month or so ago and now much more.....I'm keeping the Olympic ones.
The royal mint have some lovely coin hunt books that my son got for Christmas, not the Olympic 50ps but all the others. A little investment for him.
look out for £2 guy falkes coin with incorrect spelling (I've got one) and 20ps undated. Definitely worth checking change these days.0 -

Hi Ren,
The first payment is always a bit nerve wracking as are the few weeks following but I don't recall anyone posting any serious issues so long as they've taken all the appropriate actions which it sounds like you have... If CPA is cancelled with the bank then even if it is taken then it can be reclaimed as an unauthorised transaction so I'm sure you'll be fineone thing I thought you might be interested to know is that you can actually make a payment to SC whenever you like so long as it's no later than the 10th of the month! I'm getting over a gambling addiction and had a bit of a lapse one month because the money was sitting in my account for almost a week and they told me that I can transfer the money straight away to remove temptation... I've done it since October last year and it's very satisfying to know it's gone and you're a little closer (in theory) to being debt free

Thanks MattiI'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it to be honest... is it a good idea to sell it now while there is a load of hype or hold fire? I dunno... Thanks for the tips re. the other coins too! Something else to keep an eye out for...
