Excellent Dell desktop £329 delivered

This superb Dell offer has been posted here on HUKD by MikeT but I couldn't see it on MSE yet - forgive me if it's already been posted.

Dell Dimension E520 desktop, basically the following spec:

Intel E4300 Processor, 2gb RAM, 250gb hard drive, DVD-RW, 19" flat panel monitor, Windows Vista Home. See the HUKD thread for much more information. The e-value code is 305-D05E02a.

What more could you ask for for under £330?! I think Dell give 5% on quidco too...

Update: This system is also available without a monitor for £270.32, handy if you've already got one or would rather choose your own. The option for no monitor appears if you use a different e-value code: 305-D05E02

    Regarding the quidco discount:

Log in to Quidco and click through to Dell's site. Use the link on the left hand side to 'shop by e-value code'. In the first of the 2 boxes type: 305 and in the second type: D05E02a. That brings up the Dimension E520 at the usual price. (£475.94).

For anyone not familiar with Dell's offers and pricing:

To make sure you get it for £329.07, reduce the warranty to 'Collect & Return, 1 Year Service only' to get the price down.

The quidco information was from a post on the HUKD thready pgilc1, I thought I'd add it at the top here it'll save people trawling through that long thread to find out how to get the discount!

Whoa! - this is better than the Dell deal I posted a couple of weeks ago - the only difference is that in my OP the monitor was 20" - upgraded to 22".

Is there a catch in this somewhere???????

This might be the reason for the price drop - Dell™ 19" Value Flat Panel.

I can't find out what 'value means in terms of a LCD panel. Still a good deal though.

If the panel is the usual one then it's a cracking deal.

I have a 19".... dell value flat panel. Perfectly ok, apart from the silver stuff over the power button has rubbed off over the months/years. Hardly cause for complaint at this price.

Yeah I've got a basic mode Dell flat panel monitor which I'm very happy with too.

For anyone interested in an upgrade though, you can change it for a 22" monitor in the options, and the price comes out at £417.19 total... that probably makes it under £400 if you take quidco into account.

Dell value flat panels don't have dvi input only analogue. I upgraded mine (and wish I hadn't - not worth the extra money in my opinion). Useful for running parallel monitors as most cards (I think) seem to come with one digital and one analogue output.
