    The cats...
Suki - Sookie wookie woowoo, the wookster, or just woo for short

Gizzy - GizGiz, fluffybum, tho she'll only answer to puppykitten for some reason (blame the husband)

Ozzy - oznoz, oi you, or baby (cos he's my baby)

Harry- We never named him, previous owners did, so he only answers to Harry... or Harold if I'm annoyed with him

Shade - same as above, not named by us... she prefers shay, shayshay, or Fatty ( cos she has a wobbly belly)

I am loving this thread! :-) We have Hugo (5ish year old cat) (named already when he got him from RSPCA). He gets called The Boss (obvs), Snugs, Snughead (with a silent 'h'), Snugarena, The Boy, Snuglet. Then we have Lily (10 month old kitten who we named after getting her from a local cat sanctuary aged 3 months). She gets called Lilaerna, Lillers, Pretty Kitty. Both get called Little Sh*t(s) at various times, usually around 5am when they chase each other around the house.

My parents had a cat called Zeus who I used to call Zaccariah Woodcock (I think after a Michael Morpurgo character) or Zachary.

They now have Laurel (male) (who gets called L'Oreal) and Hardy (female (my mum got a bit mixed up!)) (who gets called Harderella). And my Dad calls every cat they have ever had at home 'Tom'. Just to be original. Or as a get-out-of-jail-free card in case he forgets their name! In fact, when he visits us, our cats also get called Tom (regardless of their gender)!
Getting older is inevitable, growing up is optional :rotfl:

The cat's real name is Ronald but at the minute is being called PC for "pet cat".
The dog's real name is Cassie, but at present her nickname is Fizzy.
I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."
Mortgage is my only debt - Original mortgage - January 2008 = £88,400, March 2014 = £47,000 Chipping away slowly! Now saving to move.

I'm not mad! I do this all the time with my two cats!

    Mischief.. missi, miss miss
    Jet.. Pudding, fatty

Both get called munchkin if good or s**tbag if bad.
  • Our rat Ascari gets called scaredy rat because she's scared of her own shadow.
The other rat Sky gets called baby girl by me because she's a proper mummys girl.

Hmmm . . . am I the only one cringing at this thread?

I hate when people call their pets ridiculous names in the first place, but when they extend that into even more ridiculous nick-names it just makes the rest of us pet owners look more like total imbeciles in the eyes of the general public.

e.g. whoever called their dog " Alisha's Lil' Miss Priss of Wildeoak" needs their *rse kicked right up the street and back down again.

and don't even get me started on this idiocy

I am a lifelong pet owner (mainly dogs but lots of other animals) and the worst name we ever ended up with was Horace for the kid's goldfish. But at least that never went out in public.

We call our girly Noo Noo after the hoover from Telly Tubbies because seriously, she vacuums up everything. She also goes by Proper Dog because she is a proper dog.

Whereas the other dog is Other Dog and my Fruit Loop because he's wappy in the head. Whenever you ask him a question he looks at his bum like it has all the answers.
'til the end of the line
