Speaking of Civics - my son has an 06 Civic 1.8 and it has definite gearbox problems. We checked on the internet and its a known issue and may need a gearbox strip to resolve.

No particular car is fault free, and no particular car is 100% reliable, which is more reason to believe we all drive what we want to drive, NOT what we perceive to be the most reliable.

Apart from French Cars which are 100%....Unreliable :rotfl::T

    in my opinion  :D

Firstly, that quote would be based on volume of sales. On that basis alone, Fiat would be 'better' than Ferrari because more people buy Fiats.

Secondly, and most importantly - you're WRONG. According to Forbes, GM are the largest followed by VW with Toyota in third.

That link is over a year old. According to the Wall street journal Toyota are back on top.

I'll be honest with you - i'm finding it really hard to care.

My point to TradePoo was that just because they sell the most doesnt make them the best, otherwise Fiat would be 'better' than Ferrari.

My Honda Accord drivers window sticks!

When I was in the US in September my friends mothers Accord has exactly the same fault...

    OMG!!!!!

I had 2x PUG's and the windows never stuck on either?
Ergo ... PUG's are more reliable than Honda?

As it happens I had the gearbox go on one after being abused and subjected to prolonged -20C and lower temperatures and even some of the plastic bits snapped ... other than that one thing neither needed anything other than brakes, tyres, oil and water...
I think the one I had in Norway may have benefited from a change of transmission fluid though!

On the other side my Honda with 180,000 miles has had the plastic clip for the bonnet snapl!!! OMG!!! How could Honda use a plastic clip???

No, it doesnt. However in terms of driving experience they vary vastly. To use an extreme example, try driving a porsche boxster on a cross country blast as opposed to say a Toyota Avensis and which one will put a smile on your face?

OOhhh me me me, I know I know.....

The Avensis, Because it blew its head gasket half way and you smiled because it still got you home? And costs a lot less than a Boxster? Which wouldnt have got you home?

    Do I win a prize?

They're all good cars in they're own way. The reality is, go and drive each and see which you like best.
