There is no secret, he's a fellow insignia driver so was offering me advice about the car when I get it back.

I was supposed to be hearing about it today but guess Arnold Clarks customer service is still lacking as I've not heard anything.

    Steph

Yep... I drive lots and lots of Insignias......
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Why not but a car that expensive? before I got the insignia I had a Jeep Patriot, before that I had bought brand new a Volkswagen Eos.

It is a diesel, it's a 2.0 Sri (160) nav. I use it every day for a hour. On weekends I drive to my partners house 25 miles away (on the motorway) and back so I assume the DPF Filter is being maintained. The dealership didn't mention anything about DPF Filters I only know about them through reading on the net. I am a woman and it was sold by a woman and as most sales men treat women like they are stupid maybe they wasn't explained to the sales girl??

    Steph
Think he's just saying its a lot of money to spend on a car, if that's what you wanna do then fine.

Also yes the DPF should be fine with that use.

Congrats on finally buying a sensible car with the Insignia Steph, those things before are just stupid tat. Did you need a snorkel to drive the Eos each time it rained?

  • Buying from ARNOLD SHARK?....... you deserve everything you get.

The man is CROOK (Arthur Daly type)

Google arnoldsucks.com .He payed his legal team lots of money to have this webside closed down

To be totally totally honest with you the insignia has a bigger problem with leaks than the Eos ever did which is seriously surprising isn't it :) I could take a bath in my boot I have pictures on my phone if you would like me to post them?

    Steph :)

    Haha, fair-doos :)

I'm sure the Insignia will turn out to be a simple fix though, Eos leaks are legendary! ;)

Hope you get it sorted x

  • You don't have to tell me about Eos's I only had it for 18 months lol.

I don't have luck with any cars maybe I should just build my own car that way I can only blame myself for it going wrong.

There was just over 40,000 miles on the clock when bought. I don't remember seeing the V5 before I purchased it as there was so many problems when buying it I just signed the paperwork without properly looking.

You don't remember seeing the V5? Why didn't YOU ask to see it?

You had every opportunity to ask but YOU failed to do so.

With the part ex of my car I paid around £12,500 for it so I don't there is any discount for the mileage.

I hardly do any miles as I work from home.

YOU negotiated and then agreed on a price. YOU had free will and could have walked away from the deal.

YOU are an adult and need to take responsibilty for YOUR decisions.

The only one to blame for buying an ex rental car is... YOU.
    :hello:

Thought I recognised your user name - I remember the saga you made with the EOS 18 months ago...
