Trying for a Baby Part 9

Right for the first time in months I can update where I am in my circle, as we took a break from the cbfm and just went with the flow, I had proper idea on the days passed ovulation. But cd2 today. If I can be updated that would be wonderful.

Had quick cry earlier as a friend announced her 2nd pregnancy. I really am pleased for her, it's just she was only telling us a few months ago how they could never afford another child while theirs was in childcare. I mean she really went on and on about it, guessed they changed their minds.
Starting to think it'll never happen, but at least I have my wonderful classic cars and my furr-babies.

As sophiasmum has said, start taking folic acid asap. It doesn't hurt to take it and it will help in the critical 2-3 weeks before you find out you're pregnant. I recommend looking into a cycle tracking website or app if you have a smartphone. I use fertility friend and it makes keeping up with my cycle so much easier!

Oh, forget everything you were taught about the 28 day cycle and ovulation on day 14. Most of the time, that is not the case. The easiest and cheapest way to determine when you ovulate is to take your temperature as soon as you wake up in the morning. Track that, and when it goes up by a certain amount, you've ovulated. It doesn't really help you catch it, but it does let you see a pattern of when you normally ovulate after a few cycles. Fertility friend even makes a nice graph if you input your temperature there.

Other than that, just bd (baby dance = sex) a lot! :rotfl:
