Gelly - hugs for AF, at least you wont have that worry on holiday in a couple of weeks. where are you going?

Mrs TM - sounds like you had a good holiday, hope you are feeling better now. Thanks for doing the lists - and thanks to those who did them while Mrs TM was away.

Pommeverte - hopefully the acupuncturist(??) will be right - if so I think they will have a rush on!!

Catloverbex - how long are you going to Vegas for? Its amazing, you will have a fab time!! I did it only as a two day trip (trek America) so didn't spend much time there - go to M&M world!! We also watched cirque du Solei 'Mystere' which was kind of weird but they were amazing - the agent told us that one was one of the better ones in terms of acrobatics

Carrot - hugs for having a difficult day, hopefully though seeing a fs will be a positive for you and they will be able to support you x

Goodvibes - ooh another one to be jealous of!!

Code = also making me jealous with your holiday plans!! Hope you are feeling better before you go

Samtoby - congrats on getting a place on the uni course -what will you be studying?

Claretsgirl - hugs for you and your OH, not sure what advice I can offer - I know if it was me I would want to keep trying and have the belief that things usually work out in the end and you can pick up lots of baby stuff cheaply if needed, but it obviously depends on what you and your OH think (and also I am not sure how old you are and how long you have been trying)

AFM nothing to report ttc related but am in shock of having put on 5 pounds from my holiday!! Doubt that will come off as easy as it went on!!
  • Hi again. Thanks PM and tia. After the initial shock (it came completely out of the blue and they had even got him to do his full shift first!!!) me and OH have had a chat. We should really wait until he has another job but as I've just turned 41 we don't want to leave it too late. I feel completely torn by this. I won't need to buy much but it's the day to day living expenses if he can't find work. I don't think it would work for us if I was the one who went back to work instead but I suppose that's a last option.

    Hi Claretsgirl

I could almost have written your post myself. My husband lost his job last week, also totally out of the blue. We are waiting to see a FS in October (male factor infertility) and it is likely that we will be referred for IVF. I think we are just going to keep ploughing on, I'm 33 and am not getting any younger for IVF purposes as you do need to be in the system for funding as far as I know, and I figure these things have a way of sorting themselves out. Also even with IVF, who knows how long it'll actually take to get pregnant? Like you we would always have the (last resort) option of me being the one who goes back to work, although not ideal, but I hope it won't come to that.

So tricky isn't it, if it were me I would still ttc as I wouldn't want to waste time but thats only my thoughts.

  • Big hugs for all - seems like a few people need them xxxx

    Welcome marywooyeah

samtoby - yay :T massive congrats for getting onto your course....that's fab news!

claretsgirl - big hugs for having a tricky decision. I think I agree with PartMouse but its only something you and oh can decide xxx

Thanks all for the vegas tips! We're going in mid September and having a few days in San Francisco and then a few days in vegas. Very excited as never really had a holiday like that before. How funny that 3 of us are going around the same time!

I'm 6dpo today and have some little twinges and a tiny bit of bright red spotting. I never get mid cycle spotting. I'm trying SOOO hard not to symptom spot but the desperately hoping part of me is getting a little bit of hope that maybe its implantation. I know im just getting my hopes up for nothing as I've been disappointed now for so many cycles but I just can't help it :o keeping my fingers crossed and gonna naughtily test on Saturday (which I kno is too early really)

Anyway enough of my desperate crazy lady hoping :o

    Xxx

Terrible that redundancy is in the air. Feel for you xx

I am going to be studying the Management of Social and Affordable Housing. I work in that field.

Can't believe September is just around the corner. And then 2014 will be. Time flies past.

Thanks Code I was trying think what it was. We had a massive conversation about it!
