Hello ladies

I'm in pain today. My feet are sore after the orthotics lady at the hospital yanked on my toe on Thursday She's really hurt me. So I'm on the sofa elevating them to try and make them less sore.

As we didn't DTD this cycle I've taken the opportunity to observe how my body gears up for AF, in the hope that any future SSing will be better informed!

Interestingly, I have Montgomery's tubercules, sore boobs, no real mood swings and an achy feeling down below, all of which are usually reliable PG symptoms for me! :rotfl:

Was talking to OH yesterday abouthow hard I find all of this and he suggested we take a break for a few months. Then added "but we can still have hugs and go to bed early". Bless! I think he'd like more recreational BD!

In other news, tomorrow I am starting the 5:2 diet where you eat normally five days a week then "fast" by eating only 500 calories on the other two days. My fast days are Mon and Weds as DD is at preschool those days.

It cuts your calorie in take by 25 per cent over the week apparently, so I'm hoping to lose a stone and a bit over the next six weeks.

Please keep me accountable!

Oh yes, and I can finally manage to drive a bit, first time since my op, so I'm more mobile at last!

Ladies can I ask how you work out how many DPO you are? Got my + OPK on Friday but FF still doesn't think I've ovulated so do I go on the OPK or wait until FF says I've ovulated?? :huh: Just I know you dont necessarily ovulate on the day you get a positive on the OPK.

Just found out my ex sister in law is 22 weeks pg. she asked me when am I having them and told her I was trying. Her response was 'oh it took me ages to fall again. It took 3 months'! I don't think she got it was only 3 cycles. I think I am 0 dpo today

FF wont put in the red cross hairs on the chart until 3 high temps after ov. So for you if you got a positive test on Friday, if you ovulated Friday or Saturday, you wont get the cross hairs until Monday or Tues at the earliest FF will draw in the cross hairs for Fri or Sat. And by then youll be 3dpo.

If your temps take a little longer to rise it could take longer.

For me generally its 3dpo but this month it took til 4dpo for FF to draw it in.

Thanks, so I'm probably best on waiting for FF to pinpoint when I ovulate really then update on here? Though I'm not sure this temping lark is working for me, mine are all over the place!! Of the 12 temps I've inputted 5 are in white circles

Chocaholic - if its any help to you, I use cm along with the opks. After you ov your cm should dry up really quickly.

Have you got a link to your chart?

A white dot generally means you didnt take your temp as the same time every day - I think anything within about half an hour or so lets you keep the blue dots. Or that you put down you were sleep deprived.

It shouldnt matter too much though as your temps should go up after ov even if you have a couple at odd times.

So yeah you can just wait til it updates you to work out the exact day. If you got a positive opk on Friday it will most likely be Saturday though.

Dont worry too much though, if you think you ovulated, thats all that matters really!
