Time2deal -homes under the hammer oh dear! :rotfl: of all the programmes! Shame you can't do it at home then bring it in.

Angel mommy if you want to do opks you can do them when you get home in the evenings no need to worry about doing it at work. If you're charting then there's not much else you can do, just bd as much as you can, take folic acid.

Good luck squirrel! Sounds like you're determined!

Angelmummy I'm very sorry to hear about your losses.
  • well done and good luck squirrel you can do it. xxxx

Hello all. I hope it's ok to join? I've had a little one (15 now!) then lost one that I didn't know I was carrying at about 11 weeks then a healthy one (now 8) then started trying 7 years ago. After about 3 yrs of trying, I became obsessed with conceiving but nothing worked. A while later I came to the horrible conclusion that something was wrong with me and we were never going to have number 3. Carried on as we were (no protection) and nothing happened. Figure the next time there was a baby in the house, it would be our grandchild. Last Oct I was late so took a test and amazingly found out we were pregnant. To say we were ecstatic would be an understatement. Few weeks later we had scan and saw his little heart beating - amazing! Having tried 6-7yrs for this baby, I didn't take a minute for granted. Then after a bleed I found out its heart had stopped. I had baby on 9th December and buried Angel just before Xmas. I'm now back to obsessed with getting pregnant. I'm jealous of anyone pregnant or with a baby. I don't want to 'replace' Angel but I feel empty like a part of me is missing. I'm awaiting af in a day or two and I know when it comes it will make me upset. Is anyone else like me? Starting to think I'm not normal!

huge hugs. what a rough trot you have had I miscarried last year and also struggle with pregnant people. feels like the whole world is pregnant apart from me :( I know i have 2 kids and am so lucky but in the same breath life feels unfair, Hugs hun I understand xxx

Welcome starshinning. 3 months is perfectly normal. I think something like 97% will get pregnant in the first year of ttc so 3 months is nothing. Some of us have been trying way longer than that and that's a whole new kind of madness I hope you never experience. I hope your stay here is short, for all the best reasons.

Welcome angelmommy - also hope your stay is short.

Teaandcake I know what you mean about being pregnant. I thought maybe I had a chemical on my honeymoon because my period was over a week late, I didn't test because I was in Poland and put it down to stress, then it came and it was heavier and much more painful than its ever been. For a while that reassured me that it was possible but that was over 18 months ago and now I'm thinking that maybe it was a dodgy cycle because nothing since then. I've never seen a positive pregnancy test that I've peed on.

Good luck with the weight loss squirrel. I've been terrible at losing weight. I do my best then get upset and eat my bodyweight in chocolate.

Little bit of spotting now so waiting for CD1.

  • Claire16 thank you, I thought it would be too late by time I got home. I must remind myself that technology has moved on in the last 7 years!

Hello starshinning. It's horrible isn't it? I'm so impatient too. My hubby is on call for work which is abroad so although we have been trying for a couple of months, this is our first viable month. Had a stupid moment of being positive last night and took a pregnancy test but when it came back bfn (which I deep down suspected), I ended up sobbing and now feel really down. Af due tomorrow. Big hugs to you too for your mc xxx

Man, I'm weepy today. I cried at Friends where Pheobe gave birth to the triplets and was saying goodbye to them, and I just cried because DH asked what I want to do today?! Stupid hormones!!!

why cant she be bridesmaid if the wedding isnt for 11 months as she will have had the baby by then?
    skintchick wrote: »
Depending on how pg she is now baby will anything up to five months old. That's very little still, and totally dependent on milk for food, so if mum breastfeeds she could be doing feeds every two hours, more if it is hot. Bridesmaid dresses aren't known for breastfeeding access, plus baby may need mum lots which may not be convenient if mum has to be in church and photos. Babies are portable for sure but they do tend to want mum a lot. Plus mum is likely to be knackered!

Many reasons to not want to be a bridesmaid IMO.

True those are good reasons especially the dress one as they often are very tight/form fitting, but you would think as sister of the bride she would be in all the photos etc anyway? And if shes just had a baby Im sure people wouldnt mind if she wasnt out on the hen night or stuff like that!

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm usually on my phone but for some reason if I write more than a couple of lines, the cursor gets a mind of it's own and starts adding words in random places!

I think she's worried about having her hands full with 3 children under the age of 3... and she hasn't managed to lose much weight since no2 was born (nearly 10mths old) so she would be very self conscious being centre of attention. Obviously she'll be included in some of the photos, but that's less pressure than the whole bridesmaid scenario where she would want to play the full part and would feel bad if she "let me down" even though I said that wouldn't be an issue. I'm really not going to push the situation with her, at the end of the day, I just want her there and to enjoy herself. Her eldest is going to be flowergirl, she's just 2 now.
My other bridesmaid has said she googled bridesmaids responsibilities and it says she has to pretty much do whatever I tell her to do, and that she's used to me bossing her about so it won't be a problem :)
  • Hugs code, I was like that last night, but think it was extreme tiredness, yet I still couldn't sleep...

Welcome starshinning and any other new ladies, hope your stay is short :)

I'm trying to follow slimming world myself at the moment, but also heard about this 5:2 diet - has anyone tried it with success? Almost seems too easy...
