That's great Becca! Very positive! X

Ok. So I never had a positive opk at the time I had all the other ov symptoms. Near positive but not quite dark enough.
Therefore I decided to (stupidly?) keep doing them. According to my educated guess I'm about 11 to 12 dpo. Today... Positive opk! Whaaaat? Am I oving now? Cd 29? Never ever ovd this late!

me too MrsJ, hope little one is growing well :)

and yeah maire, course you just fancied doing an opk and haven't heard about the fact that they can pick up HcG as well, you sneaky minx you! :D
there's no garuntee as they're not accurate hpt (as you always have lh in your body) but i'd do a test in the morning anyway. can't hurt can it?
fingers crossed for you lovely xx

ps not only am i jealous of pregnant women, i'm jealous of people getting clomid before me! 2 weeks 6 days, not long now... x x

I would love a hug from MrsnotJ please

Becca, thats such good news. Helps so much to have a plan in place I find. Did you DTD at all before ov? Hope its your turn xx

Marie - Have you done a HPT as well? You can get a +ve on a OPK when you are pregnant. Might be worthy of a test just in case, but if in doubt keeeeeeep BDing (like keep dancing off of strictly) :p

Code - I >hate< the hormones at the end of the 2ww. I nearly always end up falling out with DH cos I am so so so grumpy. I don't like the not knowing if I am/aren't pregnant and combined with the hormones it sends me loopy :o I do feel sorry for DH sometimes having to live with me :o:o Hope you are doing ok xx

SJlou - welcome :hello: CD1 is counted as full flow red bleeding, so not spotting or brown (old) blood. If that comes in the afternoon or evening, its still CD1, so sounds like today would be CD2 for you.

MrsTM - Totally agree. I would be well and truly nutty without this thread. I know you ladies all get it and how hard it is :o

AFM - Gooooooood news!! Kitty is back :T:T:j:j:T:T:j:j He wandered off a long way (about half a mile) and some lady took him in as he was shivering and meowing. She fed him milk and dog food as thats all she had, so no doubt he will suffer for that later (he has a poorly tum cos hes allergic to some foods). She took him to the vets this morning. I was told he was chipped as he is an RSPCA kitten, but I didn't realise they hadn't put the chip in him yet, just that it was paid for. The lady who rescued him put his piccie on facebook and my best friend saw it and tagged me in it cos I didn't know the lady. So a very big adventure for him, and thankfully a happy ending. Hes booked in on monday for his chip and also for his nuts to come off, poor fella. What a welcome home present :rotfl::rotfl: Hes grounded in the meantime :p:rotfl: Sooooooo happy to have him back. You don't realise how scary it is until the go missing like that.

Just finished digging one of our back garden veggie/flower beds (the larger one). Found a bloomin' brick wall buried near the end of it! Anyway, dug all of the bricks out, finished digging the compost and bunny litter into the soil and I smoothed it out. Nice and aerated for the millions of earthworms I saw now. My butt, legs, and arms are probably going to hurt horribly in the morning. My lower back/hips are already screaming at me (thus why I came in after cleaning up outside and I've quit for the day!). I still have a smaller garden bed to dig up and there's no telling what I might find buried in that one!

I have no clue where the energy came from to do all this work, but I'm definitely hungry for lunch now.

Photo of the 'wall' I dug up. The bricks have been stacked neatly in one end of the garden now and the pavement has been swept.

Gosh, I've been having blood tests for all sorts since I was about 13 (I was a fainty teen and they couldn't figure out why! :o). I used to give blood too but stopped because they struggled to find my veins so much and I'd get a bit woozy afterwards and it wasn't exactly safe for me to drive home in that state! :p

I went to faint a couple of times as a teenager but when I mentioned it to the dr at an appt about the pill she said it was just likely to be because at the time I had slightly low blood pressure.

My Dad gives blood & I'd like to do it if it weren't for the fact I'd probably keel over & cause them more hassle than its worth. I felt a bit guilty about it but then I read up about it & turns out I don't weigh quite enough ( i have a very small frame) so can't do it anyway- I guess it would make you too prone to faint or something which I think it would with me!

Becca - I knew you would come back feeling better! Did you bd at all this cycle before your positive opk? If not roll on a new cycle with that clomid - at least you know you've only got 2 weeks to wait!
  • Great news becca :)
    Glad kitty is back!!
