Trying for a Baby Part 9

Becca yes a tracking scan for me, lost count of the number I've had now. It's been 3 years since we had our first fertility treatment.

Ah thanks all for your warm welcome! I look forward to getting to know you over the coming day/weeks/months.... I'm not a total newb to ttc, I've been waiting to try for along time so I'm all caught up learning about my fertility. Which is ironic because my body doesn't play ball at all, I have cycle days that can be anything between 30 days to 44... and at certain points I've got over 99 days into a cycle. Although I find that it's quite reflective of my diet/exercise routine.
I'm coming into an age where a lot of people I know -although nobody close- are having children, and it's definately starting to put the broody in to overdrive! I know it sounds sad but I every time I hear somebody else is PG I can't help thinking, surely it's my turn now!!! Any how I'm on CD27 and boobs are SO sore and I'm feeling bloated. As I was saying before my body doesn't play ball, for anyone else they'd see this as a good sign, but my boobs ALWAYS get sore for about 10 days before my period, which means every month I wonder if it's a sign! Le sigh! Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

Augh! CD31 for me - absolutely no signs of AF. Tested again yesterday BFN. So obviously didn't ovulate when I thought I did (Good job we fitted in a cheeky few BDs in the last couple of weeks!) So I just wait.... (not patiently)0

A catheter is inserted into your uterus and then dye in pumped in. The idea is that the dye fills your womb and tubes and leaks out through your ovaries. You are then X-rayed and the image of your womb/tubes will show up giving a clear shot of what they look like.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Just a small correction
the dye doesn't come out of your ovaries (that very image freaks me out ), it spills out the other end of your fallopian tubes in "normal" cases. Like this:
Becca, I worked myself up about mine, but even though it gave me the news that mine were blocked, the actual experience of it was nowhere near what I has built up in my mind. And I got fiddled with more than most, cos they couldn't get the dye through "I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Get your hubby to eat walnuts they're supposed to help.
Thanks, I'll buy some. Is there anything in particular I should eat/not eat? I've decided that neither of us is getting drunk from now on.
Hubbie look scared when I told him IT IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have my FF VIP membership and I can see that we have only given ourselves a 'good' chance every other month, the others were low. So although I'm sticking to the every other day from day 10 rule, even though I usually ov at CD17 but I'm cautious in case I have a sneaky early one, I'm going to make sure we BD on both peak days of my CBFM and again if my temp hasn't peaked. I'm also wondering whether to get some conceive plus?Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

Thanks for correcting me. I suppose it just looked like the dye passes through the ovaries.
Mine took about an hour from the catheter going in to it all coming out again but as Zippy said, they did a lot of fiddling with me too because they couldn't get the dye in. The most painful part was trying to stay relaxed when I had to turn from one side to the other to get the dye to move about.
You'll be fine anyway.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
I had a HyCoSy, which is the same concept but an ultrasound instead of xray and it was only about ten minutes and I felt nothing...apart from very awkward, especially when the other nurse wanted in to ask if she wanted a brew lol
Oh and very embarrassed when she had me holding down on my right hand side, I got worried something was wrong but she said 'no it's just bowel gas' lolLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
