Hi all, what a lovely sunny day it is, had lunch in the garden with my furbaby, he tried to eat the grass :P

Not feeling all that positive about this month now, my temperature has dropped two days in a row... Its my first month temping though so that might be normal I guess.. I have bought my Clomid already (hoping that it would be a wasted purchase hehe) and am going to try and arrange my tube test privately tonight (so I can have it at the weekend now I have been referred by doctor) my work don't like me taking time off and I don't want to tell them why....

OH is treating me to pizza out tonight, we got a pizza express deal!

    Hi Ladies,

Looking for a bit of advice. Has anyone managed to get their partner to take vitamin/supplements to improve SA? And any that seemed to help?

I have managed to get an agreement from DH that he will start to take some supplements (ie, probably 1) a day as we are now 4 months away from being allowed to start to try again. His count and motility are low, so help on either or both would be great.

Has anyone used them, and any advice on which to go for?

    Hi Time2Deal

Just thought I would pop on and let you know about my experience with a male vitamin!

Me and my DP both took the pregnacare his and hers vitamins. He was very good and took them for 3/4 months. In our opinion they made no difference (and were expensive!).

We have also used the CBFM for 7 months and pre-seed for 3 months......and still BFN

I am having tests now and so is DP

Hope this is helpful for you x

Yes I bought zinc for DH (comes with vitamin c) tablets and also I heard something about walnuts so also started buying those now. DH keeps them near the tea canister so he remembers to take it each morning. I've also read that c10q or whatever it's called is supposed to be good but it's pretty expensive but you can buy it in most supermarkets if you want to try.

I feed OH vitamins, and even surprised him with a home made banana loaf the other day, I told him it was good for him and he got suspicious so I confessed it was good for his swimmers! He laughed and munched it down.
  • got some very familiar cramping, probably AF on its way.

When it does arrive I'm going to scream and shout and stamp my feet. Because I can.

Time2deal. Hubby takes a zinc and vit c and did for about 9 months before we got our first. No idea if it helped but sainsburys sell them for just over £1 for 60. He's taking them again. They're fairly inexpensive and we figure if it has even a tiny chance of helping, then we're in. :)

I got horrible cramp pain and constipation with pregnacare after a short time so switched to sanatogen mother to be instead.

Wow Twigpig what an epic post! :T

Thanks for the advice re the CBFM sticks!

T2D - we've been taking pregnacare his and hers for about 9 months. Not sure OH is particularly good at taking his as his seem to last longer than mine......! I find I have to give it to him with his dinner to guarantee he takes it.

I'm sulking ATM and refusing to speak to OH as he didn't have SA done today. he had a doctors appt for something else and hadn't asked for SA in advance. He then came home and proudly announced that we had to book an appt to go together. Fuming as we have different GP surgeries so he clearly hadn't listened to me when I briefed him! Does anybody else have a hubby with selective hearing?!

I'm getting my blood results on Thursday and assuming they are ok then doctor said we'd go straight to further tests cos of the surgical complications I had in my abdomen when I was younger. Only problem is that I can't have any further tests until stupid hubby has his SA. Very annoyed with him right now

Anyway....I think I'm going to go visit my friend to have cuddles with her puppy (and also so that OH really gets the point that I am annoyed!!)

My OH had his 3rd SA today. In between SA 2 and 3 he started taking Macca root but we won't get the results until my next appointment on the 22 May, but on the positive side he has a much higher s3x drive:D. Will let you know the results when we get them.

Am just having a go at doing the lists, please be patient with me its my first time:p
