Trying for a Baby Part 9

Cheers all! I'm back from holidays and trying to catch up with all the chat.
But, I just wanted to drop in to say fannyanna that exactly the same things happened to DH. The NHS left his sample out for an hour and it came back with a zero result.
He then did another one privately and they said 14m, which isn't great, but better than zero! For the sample used for ICSI they said it was only 3m, but we have 9 fertilized embryos waiting for us, so they don't need too many if it comes to that.0 -
Emy Lou if you've got a bfp then you're definitely pregnant or at least you were when you did the test/still have pregnancy hormones. Bleeding doesn't always mean anything bad. Although if you've been bleeding since Thursdays I guess that's not great... But you can't be sure.
Ach really want to say congrats but vey confusing. To be honest I'm not sure what the dr could do at this stage.
Personally I would wait til you've stopped bleeding & test again like you say. I think at about 6 weeks they can scan you to check for development. So might be worth ringing your EPU?
Are you sure you were 9 days late on the 8th though as really a bfp should show up by then - are you 100% sure of when you ovulated?
But no, your period won't give you a bfp!!
Thanks for your reply Claire. I assumed the Dr wouldn't be able to do much really. OH just got a cheap test as I was assuming it would be -ve but I'll buy a more precise one tomorrow & hopefully be able to do it in next few days. Bleeding started when I wiped at 11.30pm Thurs, had some more Fri but seems to have stopped now. Feeling very queasy (sp) too. When I got BFP last yr I had 2 -ve HPTs between 7-10 days after AF was due and didnt get +ve until about 14 days after?!Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

Are you sure you aren't ovulating later than you think? Or perhaps for some unknown reason it's taking a really long time to build up the hormone? But if you've got symptoms you should have a bfp - which you have! So.. If you've stopped bleeding perhaps it will be good news?!0 -
lilmissmup I know how you feel about wanting to test. This is my first month of charting and I really should wait until Saturday to test but I am finding it difficult. When were were trying but without all of the temping, it was far easier just to wait and see!
McRach Sorry to hear about your sleep apnoea and the delightful mask. Is it something that your Dr thinks could be temporary?
fannyanna and firefly39 hugs to you both
claire16c I can understand why that must have made you feel a bit depressed, it's a bit of a shock for all of that to happen so quickly!
Becca Thanks for doing the lists. I hope that having the baby over today is not too difficult for you. Husbands can sometimes be completely insensitive without any malice!
faith2009uk Welcome! I came off the pill in November and have experienced similar short/irregular periods since then. It's not very helpful for really knowing anything about timing, is it!? I hope that you have a short stay here
loulou Not surprised you and hubby fell out last night if you came home to that!! I hope he is suitably sheepish today
Tasha Brought the coke yesterday so will let you know later how the cake is. Temping is a pain in the backside at weekends for me: as I get up at 6 in the week I have to set an alarm for 6 on Sat and Sun which isn't my favourite thing!! Once you get into the routine, you should be ok though.
time2deal I hope you had a lovely holiday
EmyLou fingers crossed for you.
As for me, I had really bad mood swings yesterday afternoon and evening and was very irritable. I also feel a bit bluergh today plus my temperature has dropped today and yesterday and is now below the cover line, so I have sort of convinced myself that AF might be appearing very soon. I did have a 21 day cycle in February so it wouldn't be a total shock, but I would be very upset0 -
Fannyanna - hugs! I hope you are feeling a little better today. I'm hoping and wishing that you get good news soon. Xxx
Faith - Welcome! I completely know what you mean about the initial excitement soon goingI think as young girls we are told so often that its so easy to accidentally fall pregnant that we are then surprised when we dont fall pregnant straight away once we have decided we are ready to be pregnant! It's still early days so I hope that your stay here is short and sweet and that you get you BFP soon!
Tasha - going to try your coca cola cake recipe next weekend now instead! Didn't manage to get shopping and I'm out this afternoon (going to watch the rugby with my hubby) Already looking forward to it!
Time2deal - hope that you had a lovely holiday
Loulou - Grrrr! Men!! hope he is suitably apologetic today! Mine was on the beers last night too..... Grrrr!
Emylou - hope you have stopped bleeding and have a sticky bean!
Afm - I got a text from my friend this morning as she's just given birth to her first baby. She sent me a beautiful pictureif it was anybody else then I would be seething with jealousy but this baby took a long time to conceive and required clomid. They conceived the last month of being allowed clomid and were scheduled to start ivf!
so pleased for them!

Good morning. Gonna catch up with the posts tonight. Just a quick update. 12dpo and I was sure AF would come today as I had brown discharge since yesterday, but nothing !? Plus my cervix is really high now and no sign of fresh blood. Not getting hopes up too much as Iyar one day of discharge early last month and then AF came the day after.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

So 11dpo and spotting already. Had AF cramps when I was at a gig. Sigh . I felt pretty positive about this month and now I feel fed up and stupid for thinking that anything might change.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Morning ladies
I woke my hubby up nice and early this morning so he got the maximum benefit from his hangover lol. Things are ok now and last nights argument is forgotten about.
Still no AF for me, so looks like I'm in for another messed up cycle (or much less likely I am pregnant....) if its the former it seems a definate indication to me my pcos is getting worse. As in past I've been pretty regular.
Codemonkey - sorry to hear that, fingers crossed AF stays away.
Emylou - hope everything is ok and the bean remains nicely in place.0 -
Just a quick one, FF says I'm 3dpo today"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
