It is so hard, especially when TTC your first to not be bitter towards every pregnant woman/mother :( funnily enough it was only those with newborns that really got to me or were pregnant, no idea why! Maybe I was trying to ignore the fact the toddler years would be so hard :rotfl:

We TTC'd for 2 years with Thomas and in the end I had the cliche 'gave up, had sex once, didn't think about it and boom bfp a week after my period was due' cycle. It was crazy and I kept thinking why the hell didn't I do this earlier?!

You'll get there in the end ladies. It's such a wonderful (and in my case, dangerous and terrifying) journey to be on. I wouldn't change anything that's happened in the last 2 or so years, not the PPROM, sepsis, PND, thumb removal, various hospital stays and our most recent hurdle - being developmentally behind and eye problems. I love being a mum!! :T

    Really?

I thought you got your appt really quickly? Or was it just it took ages to get them to agree to do anything?

Yes digi ones would be great!

Sequeena - you had your thumb removed?

5 months! what were they doing in all that time? Thank god I've booked an appt for next week it that's the case.

They did blood tests, a lot of them... Then they told me to "wait a bit" then they examined me and discussed Clomid, then they did more bloody (pun!) blood tests. Then finally the scan and perscription :)

    Thumb removal?

This runs in my husband's family but missed his generation, so we're not sure if that means there'd be a chance of it recurring or not!

Good morning ladies, I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Nothing to report here at all. I'm doing the housework today so not exactly the pinnacle of excitement. Am very tempted to have a go at making Tasha's choc coca cola cake though!

Thanks for doing the lists Becca.

Sending chocolate and hugs to everyone on cd1, and got everything crossed for anyone who might be testing this weekend. :)
  • Tea, sorry to hear the news wasn't good. I was really hoping they were going to find out they'd been wrong and everything was looking normal in there. Nothing useful to say other than I really hope you end up being one of the anecdotes that annoying people tell women who are TTC, "well this woman I know had no uterus at all and her husband had no winkie and all the doctors said blah blah blah but now they have seventeen children".

Pahahahaha... one thing to be grateful for- OH deffo has a winkie... ;) Sorry- just made me cackle out loud and scare the cat...
