Trying for a Baby Part 9

Fannyanna I so understand. Truly I do. My 18 year old SIL was pregnant and had a child before I got pregnant! It was at the 2 year mark that I fell pregnant with my son so hopefully it won't be too long for you now.
alice31 we were told it can be genetic or 'one of those things'. My mother told me that my father (they're divorced) has an extra toe but when I asked my aunt (his sister) she didn't have a clue! So I think for us it was just random luck of the draw.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Fanny anna I found out someone I met 2 years ago who was single at the time, is getting married this week & is also pregnant.
It made me feel depressed too. I barely know this person so really wish I just didn't know.
Hopefully your DHs sa was just a muck up. The only thing I can try to suggest is try to lean on each for support if you can. Is there anything you can do to check your fears about adoption? I think lots of us have those.0 -

The one round of clomid I got perscribed failed and now the IVF assessment is getting closer and to honest I don't want to go. Clomid gave me really big mood swings at the end of my cycle and now there is a weird atmosphere in our house (all my fault:() and I am dreading what IVF drugs will do to my body and our relationship. Seriously want to cancel the appointment right now.
I know it's difficult sweetheart, but these days the drug protocol for IVF is so different to what it used to be like. They try to work with your natural cycle rather than the old-fashioned down-regging, and for most people it's just an enhancement of the normal female sex hormone. It honestly truly doesn't make you feel any different really. Obviously it's an emotional time and I won't pretend it's easy, but physically and hormonally I found it far easier than expected."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Can I be moved to the two week wait section? I unfortunately have no idea when I ovulated this month. I think my flu/virus mucked up my system as I had an early surprise peak reading on my CBFM but it completely doesn't correlate to my temperature readings, which don't correlate with my CM observations.
On the plus side I got my new glasses today and my hubbie likes them. I'm pulling off the geek chic or hot accountant look. :jDon't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -

Hi everyone, may I join?
Abit about me: I'm 28 and came off the pill at Christmas, excited at the thought of trying for a baby with my OH of 3 years.
Well after a couple of months the excitement has well and truely gone!I was lucky enough to have AF a couple of weeks after coming off the pill and now have cycles ranging from 26 - 28 days but do spot for at least a couple of days before each AF.
Well this month I was convinced it was the month, I was pretty sure I ovulated and BD'd around the right time. I even had a litte spotting about 2 weeks into my cycle but yesterday I started to spot and am now feeling like just giving up
I just wish I didn't get my hopes up so much...

Fannyanna - u also really do know how you feel, I've gone past the 2 year point and it does seem like a milestone for all the wrong reasons, I also know all the "queue jumpers" as I've experienced several of those myself.
Hope your hubbys tests were just a mishap on the labs behalf and next one turns out fine.
I also have doubts about us being accepted as adopters if it comes to that, due to some bad choices my hubby made in past and my own medical record (due to a mental health problem and a !!!!!! of a GP who decided to put a certain statement on there about me.)
Big hugs to you xx
Onto my "news" still no sign of AF but I'm not reading too much into that. Also had fight with my hubby tonight as I finished a 12 hour shift at 8pm to get home and find him drunk, no meal cooked and he's had a takeaway!0 -

Tashatutuw good luck remembering your temping from now on- takes me long enough to wake up properly in the morning let alone temp too!
AFM been AWOL recently as busy at work, went on a minimoon with OH and also trying to work out what's going on with my cycle?!!
Did a HPT Monday 8th BFN. Went to Dr Tuesday 9th- I was 9 days late & also wanted to chat about what we could do test wise etc. Long story short Dr said "stop OPKs, DTD twice a week and see how things go for a few more months". He also told me to contact my consultant t Brompton and check out/change my medication. Fastforward to this week and as AF still hadn't come I was psyching myself up to taking a HPT this am... well Thurs night I started bleedingfelt very sick Friday and got sent home from work at lunchtime and slept all afternoon. I decided to still do a HPT this am as was curious as to why AF was 35/6 days late & if was positive but I was miscarrying I thought it might be better to know for Dr records?!
Anyway- I got a BFP!!! MY OH was not contactable so I called my Mum, she said if I was pregnant but losing baby there was nothing I could do- just rest up as much as possible and take another test in a day or so. But then she pointed out- if it's my period could that be affecting the result? (I wouldn't have thought so but not sure?!)
Any advice ladies- am wondering whether I could get a Dr appt Monday (highly doubtful!!) or just wait until I have completely stopped bleeding & take another test which tells me how far I am?!
Sorry for the long winded post, not sure how well I'm going to sleep tonight!?
Hugs for those on CD1 or who need them and many congratulations to any BFP's I've missed!! xxMarried my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhearI want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......Must STOP spending!!!Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Emy Lou if you've got a bfp then you're definitely pregnant or at least you were when you did the test/still have pregnancy hormones. Bleeding doesn't always mean anything bad. Although if you've been bleeding since Thursdays I guess that's not great... But you can't be sure.
Ach really want to say congrats but vey confusing. To be honest I'm not sure what the dr could do at this stage.
Personally I would wait til you've stopped bleeding & test again like you say. I think at about 6 weeks they can scan you to check for development. So might be worth ringing your EPU?
Are you sure you were 9 days late on the 8th though as really a bfp should show up by then - are you 100% sure of when you ovulated?
But no, your period won't give you a bfp!!0
