    Big big hugs Maire :(

    Tink that owlie is gorgeous!

Lemonmelon - love the sound of your new venture, it sounds amazing. Tell us more! I would love to teach cookery, I used to be a chef and have patisserie qualifications as well but went back to office work as the hours were so horrible.

PommeVerte - step away from the sticks! I have no plans at all for the weekend, other than studying and trying to think up a fabulous valentine's cake for a baking competition at work.

Amy85 sorry I missed your post yesterday, I think you posted just as I was typing mine. Hope you are feeling better today, how sad for you though, it must be awful to lose someone you have looked after x

    Thanks everyone :)

teaandcakesordeath - I'm interested to see how you get on the the Duo Fertility, I've looked at it loads and even been close to getting it myself but then never.

I'm about half way through my tww but got all the usual signs of af making her way into town! Boo!

angeltreats - I agree with you, I don't want a christmas baby either, although it would seem quite magical. I have a daughter who is born in October and we either have to just buy her stuff all year round AND her bday and christmas or buy stuff and keep in in a cupboard for a year hahaha

marie - Big hugs to you, are you going to do anything to mark it? I did this for a few years after the same situation and it really helped. We'd release a balloon in a park we always visit in summer :)

I wonder whether your coverline is just a bit high.

If you look at your temps before ovulation some of the higher ones are coming from the white dotted ones - which may have been lower if they were done at the right time/without sleep deprivation?

Because if you look at your chart as a whole your temps are ov on the whole are higher. So I wouldn't worry about it.

It probably is high. The white dots are from DH letting me sleep through the alarm some days... I wear earplugs to drown him out at night (very noisy breather + light sleeper = nope) and sometimes cannot hear the alarm! I'm not too overly miffed about it. I also had a mental breakdown at the end of January about my weight, so that stress probably has lots to do with temps being everywhere. I honestly don't think I am pg this cycle, but I probably will still POAS for the Valentine's day test.

I've taken a very proactive step and huge change in my diet to see if I can get this weight off once and for good though. I'm feeling much better already and in 1 1/2 days I'm already down 3.3 pounds! Most of this is probably do to 'water' weight, or inflammation from bread and grains. I have a sensitivity to barley and have had a sensitivity to pork earlier in my life, so those two things I know weren't helping.

I am eating, and quite a bit. As much fruit, fresh veg, cooked non-starchy veg, and beans as I want/can hold, and up to a cup (about a tea mug full) of either cooked starchy veg, like carrots, or whole grains, like oatmeal per day. I am keeping a strict eye on my nutrition as well, and I'm supplementing with ground flax seed in either the oatmeal or my morning smoothie. I do need to find a good vitamin b12 supplement due to the fact that plants and beans don't have any! Plan on doing that this weekend (as well as finally visiting our fresh market and actually buying fresh fruit and veg there - I'm super excited about tomorrow, can you tell? :rotfl:).

    Sorry for the ramble! :o

Sounds like youre on your way then and know what youre doing! My DH is a personal trainer and one lady who has been training with him for years, started at around a size 28 I think and is now a size 16/18! She wants to get to around a 14, and its take her around 4 years but because shes done it slowly she's never put anymore than a few pounds back on, before loosing them again so slow and steady basically. But anyway shes a veggie so eats tons of stuff like youre describing.

One of her friends bought her a childs plate from the supermarket and she I think sometimes uses that to put her evening meal on as her main problem was portion size.

Anyway, when she was younger she got pregnant twice and I think she was probably quite large then too.

I havent been to a market like that in ages. My favourite one to visit is Borough market in London. Lovely bread and all sorts of stuff!

Claire - We have a year round market in the city centre, right in front of the city council building no less! I haven't gotten up the courage to shop there yet due to my accent. DH will be going with me tomorrow, plus I'm starting to blend in a bit more with the accent. I still have the 'southern twang' as DH calls it, but I'm more confident and people don't usually ask where I'm from any more.

I honestly do not even know what size I am here in the UK, but it would be at least a 26 (since I am currently a size 22/24 in the US). I haven't bought trousers here yet! I'm going to treat myself to a charity shop raid once I hit 200 pounds. Lets face it, all of my clothes will be too large at that point and I don't have a sewing machine yet!

That's so sweet of you. I wouldn't worry people in the uk are so used to American accents. Actually there was an American lady in the post office behind me today. Anyway whenever I go to America I always tend to have to repeat at least one or two things I've said, and DH is s nightmare as he can have a very very slight northern accent on a couple of words so he leaves all the talking to me lol! When his brother who has a very strong Geordie accent was in the US with us & lost his luggage at the airport I had to tell the woman everything as she couldn't understand a word he was saying! (I didn't blame her I can't sometimes! :). )

My sister lives in Canada but her colleague has a strong southern American accent which she can imitate quite well, we love it!
I'm a size 6-10 depending on whether its tops/bottoms, brand etc and I seem to buy a 2,3or 5 in America, again seems to differ in each shop! So who knows! All the more excuse to try stuff on hehe!

Wouldn't worry about it. I've got a Scottish accent (East coast rather than West so softer than Glaswegian - they ask if I'm English) and nobody in any other country understands a word I say. They just looked confused in the US, had more luck in Canada as there's a big Scottish population and had to repeat myself constantly in Australia.

Totally knackered. Had a day off today and took it upon myself to declutter my bedroom. 3 binbags later, I'm free of my ripped and too small clothes, got another bag for the charity shop and my back is killing me.

Had a horrible check out from my rented house! They reckons we'll have to pay for a deep clean and a new carpet! They were horrible with me about it as well, she brought a colleague half way through so they could berate me together x
