  • Claire The temps on both of my FF charts are duo temps. I'm going to chart myself next month to see if that gives me any peace of mind- which is slightly ridiculous seeing as I got this thing to try and stop me getting obsessed with my temps... the deep deep irony.... :o

If the temps are by them then I dont think you can think of them as being particularly reliable if you dont know what time they are taking them.

Theres no harm in filling them in to see if you get a general rise but you really can rely on them if you dont know if theyre not taken at the same time each day. Just a 1 hour difference can make your temp completely different.

And yes Id temp yourself. Which does seem crazy as youve bought the duo thing... but what you can you do? lol

Or are they telling you the time the temp was took at - because youve got white dots on your previous chart which usually means the time was off too much?

Hi Miffy, Duo is a fertility monitoring service. Basically you wear a temperature sensor under your arm and download the info from it every day. Then some boffin in Cambridge has a look at it and tells you in advance when you're fertile. Apparently when they have 4 cycles worth of data they can predict when you'll ov even with crazy cycles like mine. This is my second month using it so can't really comment as to whether or not it's worth all the cash- if I finally (ever) get a BFP I'll recommend it. They've got a website though if you want better info.

AFM after 3 days of higher temps confirming ov I woke up this morning with the temperature of a corpse... well, a drop of 0.3oC. When I put it into FF they removed my crosshairs- I've now discarded the temp. I have contacted Duo again (I *will* get my money's worth) to ask them what they think is going on as I'm fearing that I've got a progesterone defect- if their data can support that then maybe I can get some sort of supplement from the GP and maybe the hideous fertility investigations can go away and I can get a lovely natural BFP. Jeepers- all the fears, hopes and rambles there....

Anyone else see drops like this on their charts? I had a similar one on the same dpo last month.

    My Ovulation Chart

I had a major (for me) drop at 4dpo, then another drop (below my coverline) at 6dpo. Todays temp is *on* the coverline. Hate it when my body is being stupid...

LOL at your ironic situation TCD! :p

Still no peak for me this morning, hoping I get it tomorrow. OH is ill *again* (I hope our kids get my immune system because his is rubbish!) so wasn't feeling up for it yesterday (making my plan from earlier this week a total fail, yet again!), I guess we should BD today but not sure if it'll happen. Maybe should wait it out for the peak and BD then... Urgh, why can't we both we mad-for-it-any-time-sex-maniacs? It'd be so much easier if we had the energy to BD every day and not worry about timing. :o No idea how we'll actually manage a 2nd child if we're struggling to muster the energy to concieve the first! :p

Ah well, on the positive side I've got a friend coming round tonight and we're eating pate and drinking wine, might as well enjoy these treats whilst I still can! :)

ETA: I forgot to give Amy hugs for the funeral yesterday. :o Hope you're feeling perkier today. :)

EATA: Geez, I'm useless this morning! Forgot to say hi to Carla too!

  • Good morning ladies, (and gents if you're still around)
Birdie - I'd be tempted to wait for the peak too, BD if you fancy it but no pressure if you don't if that makes sense? Wine and pate sounds excellent :-) I love pate on toast, I think I'm going to make some at the weekend too!
TAC, sounds frustrating, I'd temp too if you're going to worry about them, I suppose the other option would be to let duo do their thing and not even chart the temps they give you? but that's alot of control to put in someone else and I'm not sure any of us are good at that.
Welcome Carla, hope your stay here is short and sweet.
Big hugs to Abi and to T2D, thinking of you both.
Mrs Happy hope things are progressing well for you, all fingers and toes crossed!
Skint - none of those look +ve to me but maybe BD just in case and keep checkig, especially if you're not a stranger to long cycles?
Off to my second last friday at work and then there will only be a week to go - I can't keep the smile off my face! I'm starting my own business teaching people to cook and cooking for people who aren't able to so its going to be a totally different change of pace for me, mega excited and just a tiny bit terrified! I'm hoping that WHEN my forever baby comes along it will the business will be able to accomodate!
    Happy Friday everyone :-)

Big hugs Maire, look after yourself today. :o

Lemon that's a great business idea, hope it goes really well for you! Enjoy your last week at work, every time you do something you don't like/speak to someone rotten you'll be able to think 'This is the last time it'll happen'. :)

I wonder whether your coverline is just a bit high.

If you look at your temps before ovulation some of the higher ones are coming from the white dotted ones - which may have been lower if they were done at the right time/without sleep deprivation?

Because if you look at your chart as a whole your temps are ov on the whole are higher. So I wouldnt worry about it.

Im starting to think thats why teenagers get pregnant. Me and DH met over ten years ago and we definitely did it more then! Both of us are so lazy about it now.
