My FS reckons the bad egg thing is rubbish also. He said that it only starts being prepared a few weeks before ovulation, not at the beginning of your cycle. So keep faith!!!

Really? Do you know how much I can relax if that is true! I think I need to book myself into some kind of sessions with him just to hear this lol! I can deal so much better with long cycles if that's the case!

I've not been around much this month, been really busy but have been trying to read and keep up with things. Got a positive OPK today, few days earlier than last month ( got it on CD 17 last month ), we BD Wednesday and this morning, hoping to persuade OH to tomorrow and Sunday as well, I just want to feel like we've given it a good chance this month.

Need to catch up on todays posts now :D

The gynae said something similar to me, that your body prepares a follicle, it doesn't pop, it starts preparing another one, which pops. Normal cycles are when the first one pops releasing the egg, longer cycles are when it takes a few goes, which is how you end up with cysts. I also confirmed with her that cysts aren't forever, they can disappear but obviously be replaced by others.
Also not all follicles have an egg in them, though I don't know what happens on those cycles

    That's interesting.

I still wonder if I have something like pcos because of my cycles. The dr said after my mc that I didn't because there were no cysts on my ovaries when the did the scan (although they weren't looking for them but she said they still would have shown up). But I said surely you wouldn't have cysts during pregnancy and she said yes you still would.

I don't get why your body would be trying to pop stuff out though if you're pregnant?

    Hugs tinks xx cd1 sucks.

Hugs also for sneak FB announcements belly rubbing smug pregnant ladies scaremongering doctors delayed appointments and all the other things that make us sad x.

I think I may have had a sneak ovulation on cd 15 as my temp has shot up and my cm is sticky. If that's the case I'm not in with any chance this month as we've been poorly in the purcy house so no bd for the past week. Oh well that's my earliest ever ov so maybe my cycles are finally settling down so trying to think positive

    Hugs to all

Hugs Elsie. Looks like well be cd1 together too! Temp drop for me yesterday, followed by cramps. Temp increase this morning, a few cramps and a tiny bit of stained water when I wipe (sorry tmi).
Where on earth has the temp increase come from?
