Blinking heckers, just found the nice guidelines on fertility diagnosis and took me ages to find how to get out of the pdf (kindle fire) and now I can't find the page I found the link on! Annoying cos it was quite useful showing the tests and which order they'd do them in and the ones they shouldn't do.

Also only mention of weight and Clomid was to say if you didn't react well to Clomid or tamoxifen you'd get metformin too but I already have that so ahead of the trend lol

Also said I should get Clomid for six months and if I ovulate but don't get pregnant then I should be offered iui, so that gives me hope as I do so love a plan lol x

Oh no emylou. Could you see if you could find a different flight with another airline or something? I guess you could still go in the summer just book a bit nearer to the time? Maybe do a weekend away at Easter to make up
    for it?

    Plans are good team lowe!

Hi TeamLowe is this the link you're looking for? I was only looking at the guidelines yesterday: http://www.nice.org.uk/nicemedia/pdf/CG011niceguideline.pdf
I went my GP after 13m of TTC to see whether I should get my blood test results done again as I think my cycles are more normal now (prgesterone levels were v low last time - but not sure when/if I ovulated that cycle) and she said, as I have a PCO diagnosis she can refer me straight to the specialist. BUT the only thing they will recommend that is effective is IVF which I would have to have done privately. I just smiled along and asked for the referral....
Sorry to all those with insensitive Facebook friends, I now block and breathe!

Arrrgh someone on facebook posting "you don't understand unless you have kids". No you're right. I don't understand anything. I don't have perfect mummy gingerbread poos and I obviously don't know anything because I still have a honeymoon fresh birth canal.

I hate people with kids sometimes. Why do they need to be soo smug??
Have you found the !!!!!! Parents blog yet? It's a funny p¡ss take of baby bores, etc ;) they also have a fb page

    Plans are good ;)

Take everything on the NICE guidelines with a pinch of salt though. I've never received the recommended treatment/diagnosis plan for any of my conditions yet, I don't think! :p IUI isn't even available as an option in many places (including my clinic), for eg. & NICE also recommend 3 rounds of Ivf, but it all depends on the individual PCT's finding  At my clinic's postcode you only get 1 round. With my home postcode I may get 2. :o It's a good plan to look at what's available "out there" though...

Birdie, you've got "belly full of babies" going round in my head now :p:o

BigZ don't worry, I've also checked my pct who currently offer 3 rounds of iui ans 1 of ivf but obviously come first of April who knows what anyone will offer or how it's going to work or anything. I think the transfer process has been really well handled. Honest x

I was reading in the local paper this morning my pct offers 1 round of ivf & you have to be between 30&34. And tried for 2 years. Ridiculous.

A dr from the hospital was saying he hopes the age is going to be raised when they have some review in April.

I hope I never get to that stage Id have to move house or go private, 1 round what a small chance!

afm, no ovulation yet. Hoped I would have another early one this cycle but maybe the stress of the next FS appointment has scared it.:rotfl:

Can I guess 7 for March please

Ridiculously tired this morning. Cm is still not properly ewcm so waiting for ov - maybe next week. I'm incredibly spotty all over my chin and have a massive one at the side of my lip so I look like I have a coldsore so it's probably good that ov is holding off because I'm just so attractive right now. Think I might give up on the agnus castus for good though as all it does is delay ov and push my cycle length up. Can't even chill over the weekend as we're having a busy one. All I want to do is sleep. Final fast day of the week today though.

Just checked my pct and we get 3 funded ivf cycles as long as you're under 40 and have no other children.

Goodness, just had a quick Google for my area's policy and it looks like they suspended all treatments for people under 39 and over 40 a few years ago due to budget constraints! Hopefully things are back on track now but imagine the waiting list! Hope we never have to get to the IVF stage... imagine the disappointment when you get the referral to the FS and you think you're finally on the road to a baby and they say you don't fit the guidelines or the waiting list is stupidly long. :o
