Trying for a Baby Part 9

Afternoon everyone
Well after being in tears last night as we forgot to cancel the cot and it was delivered that day. They tried delivering it to a neighbour as she had ordered some things from mothercare too she then asked when I was due and I had to try and explain that I wasn't anymore. So I spent most of yesterday in tears. I felt so stupid me standing there with a cot, and no bump. So I've given in brought some cheapie OPKs from asda and tests cause they were on offer. I'm even more determined to do this now.
I have been good though, not hounded OH once while he's been away. It's not really fair for me to bother him while he was out in the middle of the sea. Just gonna have to wait until he gets back to have a proper heart to heart with him.
Sorry to put a downer on the thread, just needed to say it aloud xSealed Pots Challenge 7 Member #222 -£147.66:j :staradmin from Sue-UU

oh Bambisbelle rather large hugs to you, that must have been very upsetting indeed, especially having to explain it to your neighbour.

Bambisbelle, It sounds like you are being very brave and strong. Big hugs.
I went for a progesterone blood test over Xmas and my Dr said that the results showed that I was ovulating, so since then we have been a little more hopeful, but still no BFP yet.
I started on CD1 on Sunday, I am going to track my ovulation with OPK's this month. I wondered if any of you could advise if it was worth starting testing with the OPK's from today (CD4), or should I stick to day 11 as per the guidance on the tests?
The reason I ask is that when I last tracked (January 13) I didn't get a positive result between day 11-22, which I am not certain if was due to an anovulatory cycle or because I had drank too much water before testing.0 -

Danielley, what cycle length do you have? I never used opks but if I had, CD1s would have been too late for me as I ovulate generally CD12 - 14.
Hugs to the CD1s xx

I always thought I was 28, but the last few have been 29.0 -
Hi Danielle
Do you know your cycles well? This month I had a +ve OPK on CDs 10 and 11 so would advise testing earlier and later than CDs 11-22.

In which case, you should start earlier than CD11, but maybe not as early as CD4 (obviously your call though)Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

Hi Bambi
No, I am fairly new to all this; both my DH and I naively thought that I would come off the pill and get BFP straight away, so it's only the last few months that we have started to investigate and I have learnt all I know so far from this thread!
I am going to start testing tonight. Does anyone have an opinion on what time or day? I think my test kits says not before 10am and not after 8pm, and to limit water intake for a couple of hours before - which will be difficult for me as I drink like a fish!0
