Had a bad wobble before bed. I remember being like that last time tho now. I manage all day and am bright enough, but when its quiet and you only have your thoughts then I just couldn't stop sobbing. DH made the mistake of turning the other way to get comfy which made me wail even more :o Feeling brighter again this morning tho. PMA is still here definately - just having moments of 'its not fair' :o

    Massive hugs :grouphug:

Re baby showers: Totally not my thing, think it's present grabbing. Same with massive 1st birthday parties, the child's not gonna remember. And what is it with party bags. I go to someones birthday, bring a nice gift, but stuff my face in return and have fun. Why would I (or DS) get a party bag. Someone even brought them into nursery for every child in DS group. Don't even know who. Puzzled.

Sorry :o maybe sounded a bit harsh. I guess the party bag is a cultural thing (I'm German and we don't do them, maybe little prizes for party games when they're older). Same with 1st birthday parties or baby showers. DS will be two soon, not sure what to do, probably just a few friends and their kids. Actually dreading the next few years as I'm not a natural party thrower and entertainer

Amyloofoo - I think it does us good to get it off our chests every now and then. I'm not bothered who knows about it now to be honest. I often wish it was discussed a little more - miscarriages, infertility, still births etc. You find that more people than you realise have gone through it themselves. Its such a taboo subject, and I really don't think it should be.

I also had a very drunken conversation last month about it tho, which in hindsight was perhaps not the best place to be discussing things (in the middle of a busy pub, probably talking far too loudly!). Nay mind tho - better out than in with these things I say  Hope your sick bucket is put to much better use next month

Tinks - I don't know how you can sell your rabbits without having a wee smile about why you were making them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

How long do they let you have it for? Also did they call you before & ask you questions? I wonder how they pick people?

It definitely shouldn't be. I'm fortunate enough that it is ok amongst my friends as most of them had one too. But when I told my mum she couldn't believe it and thought god knows what's wrong with me. She just didn't know sadly how common it is. Luckily my boss then and work were really good too. (they knew because it was at 14 weeks after I had already told them).

It can definitely all be seen as a taboo subject, which is a shame as the last thing you need when you're going through these things is to feel that you can't talk to anyone.

Long before we were TTC, I'd had various awkward conversations with work about endo-related issues. The amount of times I wished that I had a condition that was a) seen as more ok to talk about and b) visible!! It's hard when you look ok from the outside but you're in pain (physically and emotionally) that people can't see and understand.

Sometimes we need to be the brave one that starts the conversation about these things, and then it's amazing how many others will have experienced something similar.

You're right girls, we should be able to talk about these things. Why is it OK to talk about getting PG straight away, but 'off limits' or 'embarrassing' to admit that you've been trying for several months/years with no luck? If more people were open about issues getting PG and having MC etc then people wouldn't feel so alone if it happened to them. :)

I've been open with my friends so that a) they understand that sometimes it isn't a case of deciding you want a baby and *bang* you get PG straight away- hopefully it's something they'll bear in mind when it's time for them to TTC and b) it's not taboo to dicuss 'women's problems'. Since bringing up the conversation, I've had friends admit to irratic cycles, ovarian cysts, irregular smear results (that thankfully came back normal after a 2nd test) etc and you can see it's a weight off everyones mind to talk about it. :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Perhaps that's it then, it's definitely a normal thing here. Oh don't worry I'm sure your kids friends parties will give you plenty of ideas! Plus most kid friendly places like soft play, bowling, swimming, leisure centres etc will put on parties for you if you don't want to do it at home.

I agree re talking about stuff. When I told people I had had a miscarriage we found out about so many other people we knew also had!

Mrs TM - Your temps can drop below the coverline for one day as long as they go back up the next day. Because your temps have been so erratic your coverline will be less accurate. A lot of your temps are white dots, are you having disturbed sleep/wake patterns?

I've had sleep issues for as long as I can remember (and before). When I was a tiny baby I couldn't sleep without choking if I wasn't being held (mostly due to my dad smoking around me...). From the time I was 1-5 years old I had night terrors every single night at 2 am. Since 5 and up I've been waking at minimum once per night, and in the past 6 months it's very common for me to wake 5-6 times per night. I needed the loo 3 times last night, and that was with no water/food/juice etc after 6 pm!

DH bought me a box of ear plugs, and they have definitely helped. Went from me waking every 1 hour 22 minutes (one sleep cycle for me) and/or at every sound to only waking the 3-4 times per night. Plus I sleep heavier when I am asleep now.
