I've signed up but it didn't like my town name! I live in a hyphenated town and it wouldn't accept it so I took out the hyphens and did spaces and it wouldn;t accept that either! So I had to just do the first word of it. :cool:

So Im now Mrs 'second part of my double barelled name'

Its silly because I have a feeling there is another town which is the first name of the town where you live, but its up north or something! Oh well theyll have your postcode etc. (from when Ive typed in your town on my sat nav I think its come up )

With regards to timing babies, when I first started trying I did think 'Oh I don't want a Christmas or a July baby' but now I don't even think about it. I just want a baby and when I've got a stroppy teenager complaining that they wish they were born in a different month I'll tell them that I simply didn't have the luxury to choose! Actually, I remember my Dad telling me something similar when I was 15 and moaning at him about being born in May!

I think a giftlist for a baby shower is plain cheek! What's with people not paying for their own nursery?! Everyone likes to buy new babies presents but they're usually clothes and toys, nice little things which don't cost the earth. I wouldn't expect anything more than that off anyone for our LO. If I have a baby shower it'll be because I want to have an afternoon of games and cake with my girlfriends, not a load of free stuff!

LOL Code, love your giftlist idea! Can you imagine if you sent out invites to a pre-conception baby shower asking for people to chip in for egg collections and SA?! I think you might be onto something there you know... :rotfl:

CD2 and nasty cold coming which has been lingering for 1 1/2 weeks. Most people around me have it actually.

Re birth month: I wish we could choose but I don't think we have that choice. Even with trying really hard it seems to be a lot of luck to fall pregnant. I would like to avoid Nov and Dec just because of Xmas but realistically wouldn't stop trying in March.

Re baby showers: Totally not my thing, think it's present grabbing. Same with massive 1st birthday parties, the child's not gonna remember. And what is it with party bags. I go to someones birthday, bring a nice gift, but stuff my face in return and have fun. Why would I (or DS) get a party bag. Someone even brought them into nursery for every child in DS group. Don't even know who. Puzzled.
