Trying for a Baby Part 9

  • Just to add... it took me 8 years of trying before I had my wonderful baby. Eight long years and three rounds of emotionally draining fertility treatment before it became evident that my eggs simply weren't up to the job and that I'd never carry my own genetic child.

I can't begin to tell you how insulting it would have been for someone to pitch up and tell me all I need to do is sling on a pair of orange pants and, bingo, I'd be up the cream puff.

I hate all that 'complementary' rubbish. It gives people false hope and encourages them to spend their hard-earned cash on trinkets and talismans. It's heartbreakingly manipulative and exploitative.

    Hi Fluffnutter,

I would always respect other people's opinions. You have obviously been through a lot. I didn't say that it was the answer - it was just if people were interested which you're not, fair enough. It only costs about £1 for a crystal so it's not exploitative and I don't sell them myself so I don't get that. Personally I would be open to trying anything additional and I do believe in complementary therapies whilst not saying that that is an instant solution. I thought this forum would be supportive and I was also looking for more practical tips too, not a personal attack. :(

Tea I'm rather insulted to see you refer to it as your crazy bench, surely we share it??? :rotfl:

i have a mustard cardigan i quite like...is mustard yellow or orange? also i'm clearly an idiot as i couldn't work out how you'd wear orange on just that area...i was thinking some sort of belt...i always wear knickers, promise.

i've committed the ultimate sin - i've fallen in love with a house! really really hope it's still on the market when we have our deposit in march. even worse -i'd be happy to pay full asking! it is worth full asking though...
only two bedrooms but i've resigned myself to one child. mainly cos a) that seems like a distant dream enough right now and b) i'm pretty sure DH won't want to go through this again. he doesn't do me being upset well x

Just popping in to say that I'm feeling better after banning myself from reading about, researching, or even thinking about losing weight at least until Monday when we get the test results back. Still hope that I get to be referred to a dietitian, I can't do it just with a list/menu with our budget!

I'm mostly just trying to distract myself to pass the time. The garden is looking better for it though. :)

I hope to be back in here with you ladies full time as soon as possible!

  • Am a self confessed bench hog. In all fairness though unless you've spent the last 2 days crying everytime you've changed your sanitary items I *don't* think you're crazy enough for this bench... *scoots over just in case* :rotfl:

Possibly TMI but we're all gross enough here for me to think it's fine to ask this... but just in case I'll make the following section white so just highlight it to read...

I've noticed that my AF has gone crazy light compared to how it used to be (sorry- no clots at all, what appears to be old dark blood rather than fresher stuff which I used to get at the beginning of AF...) and seems more like dark bloody CM. I'm worried that if my periods have gone so light then there's nowt much anything can implant into iyswim....

Moving onto my point- has anyone used anything to improve womb lining (I SHOULD NOT be left alone with google under any circumstances...). I've just watched this video and have read some sites that recommend it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBhifKPeqg0

I think I'm going to try it this cycle to see if it improves my next AF as I can't bear the idea of adding another supplement into my already bursting TTC cupboard... Would be interesting to see if anyone else has tried anything for it or if I'm just a menace with google and am amazing at procrastinating... Honest OH I am doing my uni essay...

In Tempting Fate News (sorry code, I really like it) I think that you should buy the house Teamlowe cos then you'll end up with sextuplets! :rotfl:

I'm thinking about moving back to my Mum's with OH and selling mine so that we can save for fertility treatments...
  • Hi TeamLowe

You don't have to wear the colour on a particular part of your body, anywhere will do :-)

Great news you've fallen in love with a house, that's fab. Fingers crossed it will still be there in March for you.

Maybe TTC consigns us all to the crazy bench. I normally tell when I'm ovulating by how crazy I feel - DH says I'm like that all month so he can't tell the difference :-)
  • fluffnutter - i hear you, and im going to answer your request.

i know i said i would try to wait until Saturday, but I indulged my poas obsession with my ics....
this is what i got yesterday...
