Ok so I am now totally confused. I did opk on Sunday to check ov. I got a very faint line so I thought ov had been and gone. I did another one tonight and it is very dark, darker than the control line. Anyone know a website I can put pics on which I can link here?

Code. I couldn't say for certain what it was but due to my job (won't say what as it's quite specialised and would identify me) I have seen blood clots that are white and are completely normal...

Thanks tcd. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Just the fact it looked like a foetus floating about in the cup freaked me out. AF is much heavier than usual this month and pretty painful but its perfectly on time.

If AF is heavier then it could be that you didn't shed all of your lining last month- in my experience of seeing it it's the older blood that is the white clot. As well you can reassure yourself on size depending on how long your cycles are- for example a six week foetus is only 8mm long...

I couldn't use a mooncup out of fear that I'd be dissecting its contents each time I used it. Am gross like that. Lol.

Rant alert....

Arrrrrrrrggh! If my mum tells me to 'relax' and it will happen for us one more time I'm not going to be held responsible for my actions. This is from the woman who by her own admission decided for each of us that she wanted a baby and was pregnant within 2 months.... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

I'd say that's as positive as you're ever going to get katy! BD! Stat. I think my problem with OPKs is that I have to use them for about a week over my 'fertile' period to try and pinpoint my LH surge as one by itself is a pretty useless snapshot as you don't know if it's coming or going...

You do dissect it a bit - I'm also gross and like to see but it feels nicer than tampons and padsm I love mine.

Think my periods have been lighter for a while and this is back to what they were like before so hopefully that's a good omen.

I know that one. A relative of mine who is really fertile told me that when I told her we were unsuccessfully trying. My mum took 16 years to conceive me so you'd think she'd understand but keeps going on about how I'm getting old and should get on with it.

In tempting fate news, we've just booked our holiday for September. We're going to Dubrovnik. If I get pregnant in this cycle I won't be able to fly so this will be the month...
