    Bossy

that (to me and I may be wrong) sounds like a little boy who misses his daddy and is maybe trying to make sense of it all and who is probably secretly worrying you might go too - and it won't hurt him if he doesn't love you if you see what I mean - he is, in his 4 year old mind, trying to cope with the hurt and the what-if.
You are a fanatastic mum, bearing a very tough burden and you ARE doing the very best for the Bossy brood. But you can't work miracles, unfortunately,

    The hugest hugs.
This isn't meant to hurt you or upset you; merely a suggestion why he said such a thing. At 4 they are really too young to have the emotional literacy to cope with the loss of a parent and to understand how they feel IYSWIM.

    Thanks Valli :A

It must be so hard for them to understand. Hell I'm 37 and I don't understand. I wasn't too worried or upset, when I collected him from nursery he pounced on me and said he'd missed me. I'm thinking something made him cross. He gets a bit muddled between cross and sad sometimes (don't we all ;))

Anyway, it's all forgotten, at bedtime he wanted to talk about boats (every night he says "can we talk about something" and tonight it's boats haha) which ended up an elaborate tale about jellyfish and pirate treasure. So he's gone to sleep with his head full of nonsense, which is exactly as it should be, when you are four!

I do feel a little low low tonight. DH would have been 37 tomorrow and I'm not liking that I am getting older and he isn't IYSWIM. Gawd if I last another 20yrs I'll be pushing 60 but my husband will be forever 35 :( what a muddle.

Think I ought to go to sleep and think about jellyfish and treasure.

    Night x

Oh Bossy sweetie it is all still so new and your brain is probably letting you take more of it in now the initial shock is over. You are doing brilliantly and are helping your children so much when it must make your own pain even more acute. I hope tomorrow is bearable, it is still a day of 24 hours and will pass like all the rest do. Lots of love to you and your DH parents too.

Please can we keep a candle alight for LL so that she doesn't suffer too much and can keep on fighting

I need to get all the ironing done tomorrow as DD's PE kit & blouses for the rest of the week are in it so I'll do that first thing while watching a film so its out the way before the shopping arrives. Kitchen is looking pretty good from last week except for the floor where I noticed DD has split tea maybe all over the rug, floor, cupboard fronts...I think I preferred it when she had coffee in the mornings :rotfl:

Going to finish watching NCIS then I'll go potter in the kitchen while I wait for my phone to finish charging ;) Night all
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Bossy - you are very welcome, I'm glad you understood was I was trying to say.

Hope there are some smiles and happy memories for you for DH's birthday.

Have booked tickets to take DS to Manchester (to look at the University). Wwe can get there for a tenner, but it will cost us £20 to get back! :rotfl: have used the trainline, through Quidco (this time) to source cheapest tickets, and we have to catch 'particular' trains as opposed to any train but this makes it cheaper. I have swapped a workday with my jobshare. She (on the days I'm doing for her) will be on a jolly to Dubai.

Hmmm - day trip to Manchester or 5 star luxury in Dubai - how the other half live :rotfl:

Big hugs Bossymoo. You cope so well and have my utmost admiration.

Flying has consisted of washing and ironing ( it never ends ). Dailies have been done but kids had maccy d's for dinner as it was DS3's parent's evening.

DS1's antics have created a massive row between me and DH. My head is still spinning but I'm tired now and bed is calling. I NEED to sleep well tonight.

Just read your post Kazwookie thinking smugly that I've never had a problem with them, and changed the black cartridge on mine.

Anyone know how to get black ink off a hand?

It must be a bad time of year for them. I bought 3 "cheap" from a re-filling place, a company that I've used before with no trouble. The first one spat at me when I took it out of its bag then refused to spit anything on the paper. Then printed selectively, with an error message flashing at me all the time. Tried re-aligning everything, restarting etc and finally gave up. Got 2nd one out of its bag, spit spit. Ditto. Eventually gave up and put all 3 on Freecycle, had takers for them in minutes even having described them as may or may not work. Went out and bought a proper Canon one which worked perfectly first time.
