I came home lateish from my course this afternoon, having been shopping on the way.

DH welcomed me with the news that he has taken down the central light fitting in our ensuite and emptied the fly graveyard :T

Also he has worked out how to get to the high light fittings in the built-in-unit around the mirror and has dusted them out with a damp cloth :T

And he brought me a bunch of flowers :T

And he put them in water :T

And he shortened the stems first :T

And it was a proper vase that he put them in :T

He told me that it took him a long time to find the vase :rotfl:
I only keep them under the sink in the utility room :rotfl:

AND he has nearly emptied a large box of bits that he keeps by the side of his bed, AND thrown the rubbish in the bin :T:T

What on earth is going on?:A:eek::A:eek::A

Here's a thing - posted on techie forum - my tv DVD combi isn't working. Well, just the DVD bit, it says invalid disc. The discs work fine in the other machine. I've cleaned lens with one of those DVD things and blasted it with the hair dryer on cool, in case of dust. Any other suggestions?

Can't help with this one, but I would be interested to hear suggestions as well as we have had this problem ;)

Upstairs bathroom cleaned, after I showered. DH walked the dog while I was at the hospital with DD2. They are going to send her an appointment to do a small procedure under local anaesthetic, after I assured them she would be ok (she has a good pain threshold and once giggled her way through having a tooth out!! So NOT like her sister :rotfl:)

DH is washing up (by the sounds of it). i am going to do some more paperwork (policies) so I can cross them off my list. We have another item finishing ebay that will sell, but hoping the price goes up a bit more :)

Done a level 3 clean in bathroom and feel pretty pleased with myself. I know none of it would have been done without this thread, so thank you to the fly ladies. Am actually looking forward to tomorrows challenge, as it gives me something to focus on rather be stumped by the enormity of it all.
    Thanks again.

Hmm. Suggestions are the lens is broken, and a new DVD player would be cheaper. We do actually have a portable for holidays, so will be even cheaper to get a cable to hook that up I should think.

Shame, I wanted it all in one unit so I could have it on a bracket :( never mind.

Anyhow's. Veg chopped ready for slowcooker in morning, with some steak to go on top. Lunch made. Kids clothes out ready. My bag ready. Just need to get a shower and wash my grubby hair. Just watching the end of corrie ;)

  • evening!, in for a lurk with a fennel & liquorish herbal cuppa to help with Daisy duties! Currently typing one handed with Skint Baby Holly on my lap :p

A little bit of flying here as sawdust is everywhere, so hoovered whole house upstairs and down, swept and washed stairs

    WM x 6
    TD x 5
    DW x 2

loads of towels folded Anthea style in the utility ready to go back in house later

congratulations emails replied to from new found family in New Zealand

checked Dad's shares in Mr T to see if they have recovered enough from horse burger fiasco to sell and put into the estate

delete lots of unwanted emails about 100 or so :D:D:D

emailed my sister pics of Holly and texted her to check on Mum's condition before phoning

phoned my Mum to tell her about Holly (hiding a pregnancy with increasingly baggier clothes was a nightmare) she was shocked but more confused as she kept asking if Dad knew before he died (which was 16 months ago:(), so I will check in again with my sister later and make sure she is ok.

good S&S of kitchen and toilets.....and that is me done for :D

just waiting for Holly to pause for winding, then I am going to try and get my head down ready for carpenter to come back again at 8 in the morning.

night night flyladies and flygents
The cold never bothered me anyway
