Creation flybe credit card? easy to get, applied, but got a 7 - 10 days response. 4 searches from last year due to come off coming months. I understand they search equifax?£1600 saved in bank, target 20K by 1st march 2014.

They do indeed search Equifax.
Although, they have declined me in the past at times I could see no reason for them doing so, so not sure how it will go with your app.
Good luck though!

I was looking at the Rise credit card. https://www.risecredit.co.uk/
They charge pretty hefty fees whether you use the card or not. Obviously a card not recommended but would it actually be a good product to have for someone who has tried all other sub prime lenders and failed? A last last resort sorta thing, or does the fees make it one to avoid whatever the circumstances? We’ve had to remove your signature. I assume the RISE card would have a positive impact if it was all you could get and managed it well, but it would depend on whether or not the applicant considered that the cost was worth the end result. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole personally!
On another sub prime note, had my application for the Aqua reward accepted today; don't know APR or limit but I'm expecting high and low respectively! Was a bit hit and miss in my mine as to whether they'd accept me, I don't consider myself sub prime, but I do have a lot of searches now and quite a few new accounts in the last six months.
However, I'll consider it a result since I've had the 5% from Capital One and Amex won't give me their 5% card!!0 -
Good work on the Aqua card. If they give you a paltry limit you can of course pay it off via faster payments several times a month.
I'm completely with you on the RISE card. Awful product.
My advice will always be, if you can't get a Vanquiss card, just concentrate on paying off all your old bad debt, managing your other accounts well, not applying for anything else, and re-approaching Vanquis every six months until they accept, rather than getting a RISE card.
If something is preventing someone for being approved for Vanquis, RISE will be no help.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Sorry to sound daft.
However can you have more than one Shop Direct account.
For example could I get a Very account if ive already got a Littlewoods account?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Yes you can....I used to have Littlewoods & Very at same time. Eventually cancelled Very and kept Littlewoods.
My Very application has been referred just called up to place an order and the woman took the order then put me through to the underwriting team. Its all good though I have been accepted with a limit of £750.00.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Just applied for a Barclaycard Initial and CapitalOne Classic both of which gave me the usual 7-10 days additional checks nonsense. Phoned up Barclaycard several hours later to check the status of the application (couldn't resist lol), lo and behold it had been declined. Still waiting on the Capital One but not holding out too much hope with the two defaults on my file. I have a Vanquis card which I've been paying off in full each month but I still have a £250 limit which doesn't really suit my needs.
I think part of the problem could be that I had a Barclaycard and CapitalOne card a few years ago but decided to close them down; never had any payment problems with them though.0
