Yeah they don't have delivery drivers either. I'm intrigued who you are using as I've often thought there could be a market for a delivery company who just picks up food from local takeaways/restaurants that don't normally deliver.
We have a company local to us that do this. They all drive a ford ka and have them all painted up in yellow and green. It's called fast food to you I think. I think the websites ff2u.net or something I can't check cause I'm on my phone. But they deliver McDonald's, kfc, subway and any takeaway/restaurant that doesn't deliver.0 -

Just had a look at that and it looks a good idea! Shame they don't do my area yet! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
We have thought about using just eat before, as a couple of our regular takeaways are with them.
But we decided it was much easier to just go direct, much less hassle.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
It's Dim Sum House in Golders Green.
When you order take away it redirects to hungry house, but if you phone them up they wont deliver! And I'm sure the delivery driver has Hungry House branding. Maybe it's just in London or cities
The chain delivers according to their website. Maybe the chain just don't want the hassle of phone takeaway orders and chase up calls or want to centralise their deliveries so outsources the ordering process? If they were taking verbal and online orders it could be awkward to coordinate and schedule the workload.

Used JE for years, I think it's great now I don't use a cheque book. Never have cash in the house and no cash point in the village. My local takeaway will even pick a bottle of wine up en route with a nice note in the "box".
only ever had one problem with postcode issue, same area postcode but too far for the takeaway to deliver I got a call off JE an hour later with a refund. Not tried the HungryHorse but last time I checked they only had the more expensive places listed.0 -
Another thumbs up for Just Eat here. Used them probably a hundred times over the past 5 years (I was a uni student for 3 of those, dont judge!) and have never had a bad experience beyond a couple of late deliveries. (and thats not Just Eat's fault / it didn't bother me)0

So it was just down the road, you knew it was open, yet chose not to call or walk to it?
And this ruined your child's Christmas? You care so little about yoin children you didn't toddle down to the takeaway, or toddle all the way to the phone?0 -
