Ordered a takeaway tonight which should have arrived at 10pm. No sign by 11pm so phoned up the takeaway
The problem I have is the complete opposite.
Twice I have ordered from the site, asking for a specific delivery time.
Both times it arrived around an hour early well before my visitor had arrivedOwing on CC £00.00 :j

Oh yes I've fallen foul of this before. They can't cope with scheduled times. Although I suspect its the takeaways fault in these situations. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Just Eat is more or less just a front end engine for legions of skanky takeaways. Why do people eat this !!!!!?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Not all of them are skanky take aways. My favourite dim sum restaurant, about a mile away do take away orders but they don't deliver, so JE is perfect for it. It's cheaper than getting the bus there and back. The only other option is walking back and it getting cold!0 -

If you can order through just eat then they obviously do deliver - how else do you think it gets to you?0 -
On a night that tired as I am, I can't sleep your title gave me something to chuckle about, cheers! lol0

I do hope the day soon comes when the major supermarkets start to open "takeaways" under disguised brands so that we can finally rid our towns of the proliferation of cockroach takeaways. At least then there would be higher standards of food hygiene and quality. Only the best indoes would survive...like the excellent local Chinese which has a spotless kitchen,on show to the public, and provides excellent service and quality.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Just Eat deliver it, the restaurant itself doesn't have any delivery drivers.0 -
Nothing wrong with Just Eat at all.
If your order doesn't come, or is wrong - that's the takeaway's fault because they actually have to accept the order before you'll be charged or receive confirmation.
If the food is a little more expensive, that's because the takeaway have chosen to apply a higher price via. Just Eat (I'm assuming they take some cut/commission/etc.).
If you want something to complain about Just Eat: the fact they charge for card transactions would be about your only avenue: and you really don't have an argument there either.
We use them because the takeaways we like don't accept cards over the phone, and we can't be a**ed to walk to the cashpoint.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0
