Goldcar takes debit cards ..
Just book a car with them

Paid 260e for 13 days .


Payment: We accept all major credit cards, VISA, MasterCard and debit cards. We do not accept Diners Club, American Express or cash. If you pay by debit card (EC-Karte) you must take out the additional Relax insurance which costs 30€ for up to 6 days, with 5€ more per day up to a maximum of 60€ for 28 days. If your car hire is for a longer period the cost is 90€

Hi, now realised that I have very very little choice of car hire companies who will accept a debit car . Read lots of bad reviews about Gold Car requiring up to 600 euros deposit if you don't pay by credit card. Please can you advise if you experienced this or if they were ok to rent from? Thank you

Ok, I have never written on a forum before but I am so happy that this forum exists and it has helped me to book my car in Spain. I have just got off the phone from an extremely helpful lady at valuecarrentals.com and my car hire is sorted despite not having a credit card. Thanks everyone so much!

U have to take extra insurance and there is no deposit then

hi i was just wondering if you had been on your holiday and collected your car from goldcar and had no problems? their terms still state a credit car is needed, thanks, sam

Going to Chania Airport and need a car but only have visa debit card,

Hi just wanted to say that we've just managed to sort out a car via valuecarrentals - very helpful - car supplied by Goldcar - had to take out additional insurance 60 euros but all sorted. Advice from this forum so helpful. Thanks.

Really struggling to find a company in Italy (venice) that accepts devit (visa) cards for car rental, any ideas welcome !

Thanks to the comments on this thread, extremely helpful. I have been doing some research on the Valuecarrentals.com website and having spoke to them, I will probably book through them with GOLDCAR. However, visited GOLDCAR's website and their prices are slightly cheaper.

I am tempted to book directly with GOLDCAR, but don't want any hassle when I land at 11pm with kids and luggage in tow, as the reviews with Valucarrentals.com generally seem to be OK....Anyone booked direct with GOLDCAR?
