Not everyone sits glued to the internet all day... I do because I have an office job, I'm chained to my desk and keep the internet open all day and dip in and out, but lots of people aren't allowed internet usage at work or yes, have a life :)

I'm looking forward to an update too :)

Hope all is well with OP, what a scary situation, I would have gone straight to police!

Popping on here for 2 minutes to post an update, after she asked for help, would be classed as common courtesy.
Nobody as asked her to give up her life and stay on here all day.

Maybe she's no further forward and doesn't know any more yet?

Or maybe she does and doesn't want to share. :rotfl:

Maybe its worse than she feared and is now not in a position to access the internet to update, or maybe her world has collapsed around her and updating this thread is the least of her worries at the moment? Just saying.

Recent death of her father. Car written off. House broken into. Debts and debt management. Keeping strangers on an internet forum updated is unlikely to be a priority.
  • That thought crossed my mind too Oli.s, although I didn't want to voice it.

Those condemning the OP, are going to feel pretty rotten, if something serious has happened to her.

She visited MSE around noon (ish) yesterday but didn't post so I'm assuming she's ok and not been afflicted by anything serious.

I do think she has enough on her plate to warrant not getting grief about posting again though.

She had time to ask strangers what to do instead of simply ringing the police like most people would do.

As I said in my first post. If it had been a newbie, you would all be shouting Troll.

If a key was left in or near the backdoor, the locksmith could have taken a cut, most have a portable key cutting machine in the van.
That would explain only changing the one .
    Be happy...;)
