No I'm not saying that but that's the only thing she can really be proven as to have done. Even if she has there is no law that says you can't change your T's & C's.
There are laws against her T&C's though. That is what I meant by illegal T&C's, I wasn't referring to her trying to retrospectively apply terms to a contract - which in itself is unlawful. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

One thing this forum has shown me is that many business's have illegal T's & C's. That is why things like the SOGA exist so these T's & C's can be ignored. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
To be fair, I think the OP has been quite restrained. If it were me I'd be publishing screenshots of every piece of crap she sent me in order to show her true colours.
The fact is, the OP came here for advice, and was subsequently attacked by what I believe was the seller. OP has had her name revealed by the seller, has had the seller try and hold her to terms that she didn't agree to, been threatened with court, faced with unreasonable demands and timescales, and even accused of an offence that no longer exists.
All in all, I think that OP has been very dignified in all of this.
OP, I'd advise you to send the seller a letter asking her to stop harassing you. State that if she wishes to take this further you will gladly see her in court, but until a court rules in her favour, you shall not be parting with any money.
Should the seller keep harassing you, keep a log of all calls, emails and letters, and make a formal complaint to the police.0 -

You must agree with me a bit as I've noticed you've now deleted the company nameThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Said the same myself. Its extremely rare to find a company where their T&C's are 100%. However there are things which are complex or relatively minor that are more forgivable imo. T&C's which are "illegal" and would be relatively easy to spot if you only done a few hours research.....those are more serious imo.
And yes big companies are guilty of it as well as small companies.
But where the OP's story is possible, I also think its probable. But thinking something and knowing something is different.
Or are we going to have to give a disclaimer in every single post that "our advice is purely on the assumption that you are telling the truth" when it should already be obvious that that is the basis of our advice? You keep using that word. Yes but it's moved on from advice to now just abusing her. For instance

You must agree with me a bit as I've noticed you've now deleted the company name
I asked her to. While people who read the original thread know the company name (and nothing can undo that), theres no reason to give the trader a reason to get this thread deleted too.
We are here to help after all. And we can't do that if threads keep getting deleted. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

As Unholyangel says, the name was deleted so the seller has no reason to have another thread deleted for the sake of it.
Personally, I'd happily post the name of the company, but this is not my thread, and I'm sure the OP doesn't want it deleted, so I'll refrain from giving the board guides a reason to.
Unlike you, who still hasn't amended a post which the OP has expressed a wish for you to remove her OH's real name from...0 -

I amended that post as soon as she requested it. It's not my fault the OP quoted it and didn't amend that one. I have no power to change her posts! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes so we should refrain from forming opinions based on information presented to us in case its all an elaborate plan by someone to damage the business even though its (extremely imo) probable that its not?
If you answer yes to that question, I'm surprised you form any opinions at all, given that theres always going to be that chance in any situation. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
