    I called them to ask where my 1000 points was. They told me they would add 1,500 points instead....but it is still not there yet. Suppose I will call them again.

    I have emailed Customer services and clubcard services separately.. still awaiting reply.

    Opened account in mid june with 1K. no clubcard points in august statement.
    am afraid will have to keep money in a/c until november which i cant afford to.

    yes, same prob here...

    its a right pain to set up internet banking too....
    my money's stuck in there for 3 months now, hope we dont have to keep it in until nov...

    snap, 2.gifive emailed them about it, have assumed reason is due to me getting a clubcard after i applied for tesco savings account and the two not being tied up. MsnSlap5.gif

    there is no need for anybody to keep money in tescos account until points are awarded, compling with the terms and requirements of the offer is sufficient. [URL="javascript:add_smilie("]fact.gif[/URL]

    yip in addition to the official postal strikes, their have been a lot of unofficial postal strikes in scotland as well. fact.gif
  • I also didn't receive the 1000 in my statement. Bear in mind also they did due to the heavy load of applications if any were slightly late in completing to transfer the £1000 they would honor it.

    I've called them and they said they will add them manually. Let's wait and see.

    i wasnt one of the late ones, i called them and mentioned that someone on the forum was told that he/she would get an xtra 500 points for the inconvenience, person i spoke to said that he would ask his manager, see what he can do. [URL="javascript:add_smilie("]beach.gif[/URL]
  • I had also applied on 14th June and had sent them by recorded delivery to ensure that they receive by 18th June.
    Because of huge backlogs at Tesco end, my account was opened on 25June and a letter sent to me which I received on 29June.
    I did transfer £1000 on 29June but since it was an online transfer it would not have been in credit by 30June.
    I had asked their customer services about this and they advised it will be fine as there was a delay from their end and they will honour the points anyway.
    When I received my August statement on 11June, the points were not added. I called the customer services and they said they will add 1500 clubcard points for the inconvenience. Till date they have not added the points and when I called today they did a complete u-turn saying that I am not eligible as there was not enough balance on 30June.
    It looks account opening was deliberately delayed to avoid giving the points.
    It is better to join other online saving accounts as there is a guarantee of getting better rate.
