I sent my A/c opening form with £10 cheque about 3 weeks ago and not heard from them. So I called today and was told that they had lots of application and may take a while to open the account and assured that even I deposit £1000 later, I could still claim club card points.
So if have not yet opened, you still have time.0 -
I did not provide my tel on my application. Its 25th june and the cheque has not cleared. My 1000 quid might not be in my account by 30th june.0

Unfortunately I left it too late.. thought about it for too long.
I received my account details today. Tried to log on to the site but need to set up the telephone banking, so because I already started it online, I have to wait. Donut!
So, I told the nice lady I was looking for an alternative savings account and this one is perfect, plus it gives 1000 points which is nice as I'm a collector :rotfl:
She explained due to the huge demand they have extended the 1000 points to people who have setup in time but because of the delays in their process haven't had time to pay the 1000 in. She advised when I get my card to phone and tell them I want to transfer £1000 and I will receive my points.
Am sure they will keep to their word as I'm such a loyal customer to Mr. T !

If you've received your "welcome pack", this shows your sort code and account number. All you have to do log on to your real bank with the money in it and make a transfer to your Tesco account. Do it today and it will be there on Friday. I prefer to do things this way round rather than authorise Tesco to take my money from another account.0 -
Just phoned them up to enquire about my application. The lady checked and told me that they had to have the application with them by 19 June. I did point out to her that they were still advertising the "promotion" on the 19th and surely as a responsible organisation it should have been pulled a couple of days prior to allow for posting. To which she agreed that it does seem odd. I filled my form in online on the 19th and posted first class on the 20th.
Unfortunately I can't do anything becuase Telephone banking has not been set up so can't do anything.
She did advise to pay the money in as soon as the a/c is set up and see what happens - then if not happy, write in stating the facts. What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -
