  • Cheques take too long to clear. Unless I pay in on a Monday my cheques don't clear till the following week.Faster cheque clearance means faster cashflow improving economic performance! The cheque clearing system should work 7 days a week not five!
  • If we can't have defined benefit pensions then delink them from the stock market, and give a guaranteed minimum pension that varies and is quoted monthly
  • Adopt the Dutch system that requires all door to door delivery operatives to respect signs that specify no junk mail
  • Banks process payments OUT of accounts by direct debit any day of the week including bank holidays yet standing order payments into accounts are only processed on weekdays ( not bank holidays). Payments by standing order should be made on any day of the week they fall due.
  • Cut down on packaging

On multipack products for example tins of beans 30p each, a multipack of 4 for a £1, get rid of the multipacks and just have the beans at 4 for a £1. Every week when I get home from the supermarket I end up with a carrier bag of packaging from multipacks.

Stop Pet Insurance companies from excluding pre existing conditions. It wouldn't happen if you had an accident in a car or your house caught fire so why should they be allowed to effectively trap you into the policy you have when your pet has an accident or becomes ill.
Insurance companies do the same for people sickness policies regarding pre existing conditions. or you have to wait a specified time before you can claim for that condition about 2 years normaly .

HMRC should contact or send a cheque to everyone who has overpaid tax on PAYE and not self employed, automatically, without the need for chasing them up. They are quick enough to say if we've underpaid tax, why not the other way round? If they need more information they can contact us by post and ask for it.

Have more protection with gift vouchers. If a company goes into administration, the company should have to accept gift vouchers, due to the fact money has already been received by the person who bought the gift card. They are only exchanging it for goods already in stock, with the person probably spending a bit more money than the actual gift card.
  • Tests designed by Medical Professionals who know the various health conditions and the impact on someone's life, particularly financially. Criteria is sloppy and bypasses genuine applicants who have great financial need just to travel to work (who may not be able to stand on buses and need specially adapted cars).
